Rep Leaders Off Target, Not Bush

Published by at 1:47 pm under 2006 Elections,All General Discussions

The Anchoress (who I am very remiss in linking to) has a great post asking the question of who is out of sink with whom? Is Bush off track or Rep leaders and talking heads? My two cents” Bush is one of the most consistent politicians I have ever seen. He says what he means and does what he says. he never gets side tracked by getting in the muck with his deranged critics. And he rightfully ignores the self absorbed whining from the media. He is 100 times better than any other politician out there. My feeling is left and right is drifting away from the ‘mainstream’.

This is just a wonderful post that should be marked down for history’s sake.  It is a wonderful tribute to an amazing man.

I agree with both you and the Anchoress.

Sorry about not saying much today, but have been up to my ears in alligators helping the milblogs track down data on the “fake ranger” blow up

    Clarice

Thanks for your kudos for everyones work and research

This had to be debunked in the most clear has possible manner

I have to agree with her assesment of the picture, clearer heads do prevail.

But with the big picture political chess moves over the last couple of years, you can see exactly why part of the dem battle plan was takedown or deminishment of the Delay/Rove axis of resistance to enable mainly the shinagins of Reid. One thing I have to give Reid, he has probably managed to work the kinks and hidden cranies of the senate rules as well as any dem since the days of LBJ.

    It’s dead on target.

  7. smh1012 says:

Merlin: While I agree 100% with your characterization of Reid, I would hope that we could move away from his type of politics and get back to doing the business of the people.

My greatest disappointment of the Presidents tenure to date has been the ineffectiveness of a congressional majority.

You are also correct concerning their attempts to take down Delay and Rove, neither of which I believe will be convicted of anything..[Rove in my opinion will not be indicted either], however, anyone can work their magic with those who have BDS if they have the power of the MSM behind them.

By the way, wanted to thank you for any work you did on the “fake ranger” story. Read up on this in the morning and it certainly needed to be addressed immediately. Nice to have people like you willing to take the time to help set the record straight.

I copied this yesterday from The Anchoress. It is a keeper.
George W. Bush is the best president we have ever had and I will continue to say that for years to come…

Pray for him as much as possible. He has more large things to accomplish.

I visit a lot of blogs and as a habit I don’t use the same “name” on any two sites anywhere…call if paranoid search engine avoidance. Something a friend taught me a long time ago.

My assistance was limited to independent source confirmation based on open source findings and posted under other names in the comment sections to give furthur support of this “issue” Even though I am only a avid reader of the milblogs, I am ex military and it got my ire up. So I did what I could to help. Btw I support the premise that if the other members of that group couldn’t pick up the errors, a little more looking at all of them may be interesting.. Birds of a feather and all that. What first caught my eye, was that I have only met personally a few rangers, but several special forces people. The general first impression is self assurance and the divided opinion that either you would never want to have to meet them in a dark alley or if you were in a dark alley you would love to have them “at your back”..he didn’t fit.

It certainly should have gotten your ire up..coming from a long line of military personnel, I am always on the hunt for those that would choose to sully our fine men and women in uniform.

Again thanks, and there is a great post up at Wizbang on this issue with at terrific last line..hope you can check it out if you haven’t by now.

Thanks AJ for letting us have this little back and forth as I know it is off topic.

    Heads up here
Michele Malkin has an overall tie view but imho try this link and read it from end to end and all comments

    http://www.mudvillegazette.com/milblogs/

Also as you know I also consume the stuff from the darkside to get reaction

over at The Du blog it when from tin hat tooting to the point of some suggesting that the site admin delete the whole thread so it coulnd’t be used by the right for nah nah nah point and laugh. Oh and if you read the whole thread there, there was even the suggestion after it went south so fast that this was a contrived right wing gotch mission………..oh yeah

Hot Air has got a good short summary but the meat of the issue is here

    http://www.mudvillegazette.com/milblogs/

Also read the comedy of errors from the thrill of victory to the agony of deafeat

    http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=364×1264056
That one got so ridiculous that it was suggested this was a right wing setup and at the end suggests that the site admins purge the thread so the right couldn’t go point point giggle giggle

  14. MerlinOS2 says:

hmm posted two similar replies and don’t yet see em.

    sorry for the dupes aj.

Gonna try this a little different figuring the lost in nanna land post was due to two seperated links in one reply , hope yer not upset by my stirring the litter box but this is a major issue

Best link to the meat of the story

    Merlin,

I was keeping half an eye on the situation. What kind of simpleton thinks they can pretend to be special forces???

BTW, when you put 2 or more links in a post it goes into my authorization queue. Patience!

  17. MerlinOS2 says:

Best link to the lefts reaction since that last one went thru

    http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=364×1264056

If you read it all they went from tin hat tossing to right wing setup as the thing fell apart.

At the end there were even suggestions that the site admin delete the whole thread so the right couldn’t say point, point, giggle, laugh

  18. MerlinOS2 says:

Shucks now they all showed up.

Hey AJ please pass the foxtail and dustpan. I’ll go hide in the corner now and take my timeout.

Bowing head and shuffling feet to the stool in the corner of the room!

    Aj
pretenders are a dime a dozen, that wasn’t the issue that got everyone in a tizzy. The video that came out based on his claims of credibility was the grenade rolled into the room. Pretenders are easy, it is what the video was saying that brought the exam of the person. He was making Kerry and Murtha look like shrinking violets.

OOPS will now go back to the stool for a double secret probation timeout!

Thanks, Merlin. A hat tip to everyone who worled together so effectively to expose the fake Ranger. Bravo!!
