Sowell Does It So Well
Folks, you have to read Thomas Sowell’s analysis on how the liberal mind set is built upon a pile of self aggrandizing fantasies. It is in four easy parts at RCP (I, II, III, IV). Bookmark it just for the amazing statistics, like these:
Three-quarters of the people in the bottom 20 percent in 1975 were also in the top 40 percent at some point over the next two decades.
In reality, data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics show that only about 2 percent of workers who are 25 years old or older have minimum wage jobs.
I have always suspected the liberal version of reality was a bit fuzzy, but Sowell really demonstrated how little reality there is in the liberal mythology.
