Silly Democrat Tricks

Published by at 8:45 am under 2006 Elections,All General Discussions

Democrats are demonstrating why the party is destined to the dustbin of history because it simply cannot deal with national security.  The leftwing’s answer to foreign threats is (a) denial there is a threat), (b) pleading for cover from other nations, (c) “can’t we all just get along?”, (d) claiming it is America’s fault they want to kill us, (e) and cutting and running at the earliest possible date and ignoring success criteria.

Dems need and exit strategy, Reps degine a winning strategy.  Two examples of this.  In the “what threat?” category we find the latest Democrat plan for America to vote on this fall does not once mention the threat from Al Qaeda and the other crazed Islamo-fascists (and in the case of North Korea, lunatic fascists).  Not one mention.  Not one mention of the threat or our response.  Obviously they don’t have a coherent response so it is best to not mention the threats at all and hope America doesn’t notice.

The second example is the tried and true call for an exit strategy (aka a retreat) which is focused on dates and troop levels, and not conditions that would dictate sufficient successful progress to allow a troop reduction.  Dates over conditions.  Retreat over success.

Congressional Democrats, seizing on public discontent over the war in Iraq, will offer legislation this week calling for a phased withdrawal of troops from Iraq and a shifting of forces to other nations, where supporters say American soldiers will be less likely to come under attack.

One wonders why have a military at all if we are afraid they may go in harms way.  Of course, it is not clear who the Democrats plan to draft to take bullets for us. The UN?

Senate Democrats, many of whom voted to authorize force in Iraq but have become critics of the war, will unveil a resolution today demanding that President Bush begin phasing out US troop presence in Iraq this year.

That is so broad and vague it means absolutely nothing but feel-good tripe to the leftwing.  Why wait?  What will be so dramatically different at the end of the year as opposed to right now? Or is it simply a ‘me too’ head fake since everyone knows the military right now hopes conditions will improve enough to begin a draw down at this time.

The Democrat parties needs to finish its death spiral. It reaks of opportunism and faux bravado.  The essence of the party is name calling arrogance followed by meaningless policies wrapped in hyped rhetoric.  This is the party of school uniforms, not education standards.  This is the party that enslaved people on government handouts instead of tough love to give them a hand back into the work force.  The party of stealing people’s hard earned money and wasting it on idiotic theories.  And now they hide in fear from the big bad world.  Since they have decided to surrender, maybe they should surrender completely and leave the country’s direction to people with hopes for a bright future, not a blighted one.

    AJ,

I couldn’t possibly have said it better myself. Thank you. One heckofa post!

Keep our two missing soldiers in your prayers right now. US forces in Iraq are moving heaven and earth to find them. I am going to display my flag today instead of waiting until the 4th of July. God bless our troops and deliver them from harm.

Been reading the HuffPosts about Murtha on the Russert show yesterday. You know what the Demolibs(got that term from there, it’s great) thought was so great about his appearance? His comment about Rove “sitting in an Air conditioned office on his big —– backside”

Now that was funny, a fat slobby guy sitting on his fat ass talking about somebody else sitting in an air conditioned office.. Yunk, Yunk, Yunk I’m still laughing. His Only message, Hate America, Hate Bush, Hate the cold blooded murdering trooops in Iraq. Of course he says it differently than I do, but the message is the same. His Answer, as always, Cut and Run. He’s like Kerry tho, he likes the flip side of that , Stay and Pay he calls it. Well, Dumbshit, Freedom ain’t cheap. Drop your “stuck on stupid” role and go and hide.
If he’s not a traitor, then the term is defined wrong. He is definitely giving aid and comfort to the enemy in time of war. Go and hide.

From what I hear a lot of folks are saying Murtha was not even coherent. In fact he said something about redeploying the troops to somewhere close to Iraq, like Okinawa…Okinawa????? Jeez, marie Oklahoma would probably be closer. Moron.

Bush was in Iraq last week, not on his fat ass blowing off in the Congress like some people we can think of. As for Rove, Murtha wishes he was as on the ball as Rove. I think Murtha has Alzheimers.

I for one would say he was incoherent babbling. I think he said that, he did say Qatar and Bahrain, Kuwait and Okinawa maybe somewhere else.

    From Meet The Press
MR. RUSSERT: But it’d be tough to have a timely response from Okinawa.

REP. MURTHA: Well, it—you know, they—when I say Okinawa, I, I’m saying troops in Okinawa. When I say a timely response, you know, our fighters can fly from Okinawa very quickly. And—and—when they don’t know we’re coming. There’s no question about it. And, and where those airplanes won’t—came from I can’t tell you, but, but I’ll tell you one thing, it doesn’t take very long for them to get in with cruise missiles or with, with fighter aircraft or, or attack aircraft, it doesn’t take any time at all. So we, we have done—this one particular operation, to say that that couldn’t have done, done—it was done from the outside, for heaven’s sakes.

Would you call that babbling or what?

Very Quickly from Okinawa, probably 7 or 8 hours and a couple refuelings enroute. He’s a fruitcake.

Just checked out the distance, a direct flight would be almost exactly the same distance as from New York city toHawaii, And for a direct flight, I’m sure China, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Iran would be happy to give us a clearance for a direct overflight. Yea, sure, but in the event they didn’t, then we could make the flight in only about 12 hours at 750 mph, don’t know how many refuelings that would be. Pilots might be a little tired when they got back to Okinawa another 12 hours later. Murtha didn’t define what “quickly” meant.
