Al Qaeda Had Big Plans
Al Qaeda is not just after the US, as some on the left imply when they say it is all our fault there is a war on terrorism. A recent US report indicates that Al Qaeda had plans to hit Australia, Britian ad Italy, intending to highjack planes and use them as human laden missiles.
The report lists nine plans by al-Qaeda – separate from the attacks of September 11, 2001 – to hit sites worldwide, including targets in Australia, the US, Britain and Italy, the BBC reported today.
It cited a US Homeland Security Department document that said that among the plans was a plot to hijack a plane at Heathrow airport and crash it into an office block at Canary Wharf in London.
I would like to find out more about these plans and understand if they were part of an overarching strategy that included 9-11 or came later. But one thing is clear from this information: appeasement will never stop Al Qaeda’s bloodthirts.
