Tunnel Bomb Suspect Was Heading Back To Canada
In the most recent example of the news media impacting ongoing terrorist investigations where plans were being laid to bomb transportation tunnels into Manhatten, the news is the man arrested in Lebanon not only had ties to Canada, he was planning his return (ostensibly to go to the next phase of surveillance and final tactical planning). Recall that there were only 3 out of 7 people arrested or detained, leaving 4 on still out there somewhere. We have not heard much from this story. Is it possible the news media has realized how badly it screwed up in exposing this before law enforcement was prepared to round up the key players? Was this one of the investigations crippled by the NY Times SWIFT story? Who reports and holds the news media accountable for their sins and damage?
