Common Sense Abortion Restriction

Published by at 9:13 am under All General Discussions

The far left abortionists are probably apoplectic on the news that the Senate has passed a bill forbidding the transfer of a minor across state lines for an abortion, but the truth is most parents reject the idea that someone can take their child and allow them to get a surgical procedure from some unknown and uncredible practitioner. The laws of the land allow for the rare situation where the young girl cannot go to her parents and must see a judge. Knowing the judges they will protect the girl from parental abuse if the situation warrants it. But those exceptions by no means establish a reason to expose young girls to partisans and charlatans. It is much better for a family to face and deal with an unexpected pregnancy than someone wisk an impressionable child to some no name doctor in another state. I am picky on which dentist my kids see, let alone someone who will be mucking around an area that can change a woman’s entire life. The left needs to stop trying to be the good fairy and rescue everyone from their existence. People need to face life’s challenges and most of us do it together as a family. The fact the left cannot grasp (let alone experience) this approach is sad for them, but it should not change our rights as parents.

It is one thing for someone to take a position on a mature female choice in the abortion issue, but for the defenders to want to deal with a minor’s situation tends to be a weaking of their position due to their fair chance of making a logical and informed decision.

If they were to retreat from the teen abortion support agenda, perhaps they would get more credibility rather than degrade their whole position.

I lean towards the Pro-Choice side of the abortion argument, but this seems like a no-brainer. Given the laws you mentioned for the rare case precluding family involvement, how could anyone object to this? Except perhaps that it is so common sense that it should not even need to be legislated.

    A.J.,
Do you think the abortion industry CARES what the parents of their potential ‘patients’ think?

    TGHarris,

No, I don’t think they care one bit. They are running a business.
