I would point out that the situation in the UK is very different from the situation in the US. Just as our immigrants tend to come from the Americas, theirs tends to come from North Africa, Asia, and the like — excluding the British West Indies or other parallels. Hence, the various polls done of UK Muslims have shown a very high degree of extremism per Muslim population.

In a sense, therefore, the UK is our other “canary in the coalmine”, not unlike Israel.

Sadly, there are no easy answers for combatting such ideaological enemies. The UK has taken the right steps, in some ways, in terms of prosecuting for blatant extremism… but as it stands today, these prosecutions do remain far and few between. Ultimately, the law is the answer to all lawlessness… and lawlessness is at the core of Islamism.

Sadly, the UK has as well a big problem with lawlessness in the form of the Left… so while the Left and Islamism may, on the surface, be enemies… at their heart they are ideaological friends.

I do not expect this bond to be broken anytime soon.

You don’t have to look at Saudi Arabia and other ME countries. Look at the US. Mosques are secret and do not allow infidels in to check up on what is going on inside them. Muslim camps are openly teaching Islamofascistism. The government allows these terrorist imans from ME countries to come to the US and preach their fanatism. Cair objects to anything the government tries to do to halt Islamofascism. Cair is a terrorist organization that has had terrorists on their boards and have been arrested or are still at large and the government recognizes them as a legitimate organzation. The whole thing is a farce. We have got to stop bending over backwards to be fair and giving these people the benefit of a doubt. We need to get serious about our situation.

Pew has some reports out which show opinions may be changing but there’s a long way to go. Unfortunately, opinions seem to change rapidly with events–toward the negative.
Golda Mier had it right when she said that peace would only peace would only come when the Muslims loved their children move than they hated Israel (and us!). When you look at school curricula in Saudi Arabia, Iran, Pakistan, and see the pure hatred and propaganda being offered to their children, you realize that it will take decades, and will only start when the curricula is changed!

What I would like to see proven right is the contention that a vast majority of Muslims living in the West abhor and oppose Islamofascism.

So far their silence has been deafening. Even worse, when I listen closely in silence, I keep hearing the things that you’ve mentioned in your post and elsewhere: Muslim fascist recruitment, how to foil the authorities, how to make bombs, Jew hatred, Chrisitan hatred, cheerleading for Hezbollah, Muslim struggle and conquest, etc.
