It is perfectly reasonable for both men to assume that this should have ended the matter.

Yet it went further, and people are entitled to ask why. The answer is that it went further – and reached this point – because the special prosecutor decided that Karl Rove and Scooter Libby were the villains, despite the confession of the actual source.

That special prosecutor had a name. It was not Colin Powell or Dick Armitage. The prosecutor’s name was Patrick Fitzgerald.

Thanks for the hyperlink. I saw NGC – Triple Cross and did come away conflicted ….. thinking how could Fritz be so “competent” in the Ali Mohamed matter and be so “incompetent” in the Plame matter.

Thanks for setting me straight that the NGC story was one big cover-up and that Fritz is a total “incompetent” no matter what he is involved in ….makes sense now !!

Fritz has done himself in big time !! Dying to read Peter Lance’s book !! And, I think the Plame story still has more to come.

And, no one can tell me that Bush, Rove, Cheney and Libby couldn’t have figured out the leak came from State !!

I hope Libby goes to trial and is not pardoned because I want to see Fritz’s “incompetence” exposed to all !!
