Today’s Democrats Have No FDR In Them
Look how the Democrats of today are acting to tough times compared to how Republicans challenging FDR in the early (tough and bloody) days of WW II acted, and ask yourself which better represents America? Do we want to be whining cowards who call on OTHERS to run away from challenges or be counted as those who stood by their nation against real threats and real evil. Our choice this fall is national security or impeaching Bush.
This is an interesting article. It brings back lots of memories. I was a small child when the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor. Everyone I knew was patriotic and worried about the Japanese or Germans taking over the US. We all knew we had to fight and win. Just about everyone had victory gardens and raised chickens. So many things were rationed. But we all pulled together for victory. Sadly, that is not the case today.
I remember the Korean War. My deceased husband was in this war. I don’t remember any talk of let’s get out. Bring the boys home. Also, this was a time of draft. Most people knew the government ran the country, not any anti-war
organization.
Viet Nam was a total shock to me. This was also a time of the draft. I could not understand the disloyalty of the left and anti-war people. Of course, no one wanted to go and a lot of people fled to Canada. Everyone who could joined the National Guard. These people were considered lucky. That’s why it is so ironic to me that the left denegates Bush for being in the National Guard when their cohorts fled to Canada to avoid the war entirely. But what really distressed me was the way the left treated our returning servicemen. As if they had any choice about going. The left have a lot to answer for in the chaos of this period as much as the chaos of today.
With the GWOT the left is actively working against America. They are doing everything in their power to bring down our country. There is no patriotism with these people. In fact, they definitely hate the US. All this talk of don’t question my patriotism from these peope is moot. They have no patriotism.
