So far as I know Foley did not commit any crimes. He is unethical to be sure and I might add very creepy, but the IM’s were sent to a college age person and the page he sent the original email to was 16, and besides from everything I have read that email was not sexual. Just weird.

So while I don’t doubt that Foley should have resigned, I am not sure it is fair to accuse him of committing a crime until it has been proven he actually broke the law.
