Dean and Reid, Wishing for Relevance

Published by at 5:10 pm under All General Discussions,Filibuster Showdown

Don Surber has a great post on some laughable Dean spam-mail on an upcoming meeting Dean and Reid will be having with Bush on Supreme Court nominees.

The fact that Dean is delusional enough to believe he is in the same league as Bush politically is humorous enough. My favorite Surber-ism was this line:

Reid and other Democrats are all chirpy about this meeting. They see another Republican president about to get rolled. Uh oh. In his email, Dr. Dean got rather snotty:

Whether ordinary Americans have their voice heard will be up to President Bush. He has an opportunity to build consensus with Senators from both parties and choose a nominee that ordinary Americans trust to protect our rights and liberties and uphold the law.

Ordinary Americans? Like billionaires like George Soros and Peter Lewis who tried to buy the last election? The five richest senators, all of whom happen to be Democrats.

To Dean NYCity liberals are normal people – the rest are simply abi-normal
