Umbical Cord Stem Cells Grow Micro Liver
In another blow to the Embryonic Stem Cell (ESCR) Voodoo medicine, researchers have been able to take umbilical cord stem cells (technically part of the fetus, not the mother – check the DNA) and grow a small liver from the stem cells found in the cord:
British scientists have grown the world’s first artificial liver from stem cells in a breakthrough that will one day provide entire organs for transplant.

Described as a ‘Eureka moment’ by the Newcastle University researchers, the tissue was created from blood taken from babies’ umbilical cords just a few minutes after birth.

Within five years, pieces of artificial tissue could be used to repair livers damaged by injury, disease, alcohol abuse and paracetamol overdose.
And then, in just 15 years’ time, entire liver transplants could take place using organs grown in a lab.
Please note that for this treatment to work, the embryo needs to come to term and donate its umbilical cord to science. Which I am sure every happy new mother would gladly do. Again, science proves fact over snake oil cons. The partially differentiated stem cells from the umbilical cord are easier to control and direct into target cell type, and even a tissue or organ in the near future. ESCR is not only criminal – it is pure hype.
Just a little reminder for those who still do not think human conception is the point of a new life. Recall that DNA is the full and permanent blueprint for each individual. Recall that every cell in your body has your own DNA – every one. When the process of conception creates the new DNA blueprint, it is clearly not the DNA of the mother. Just ask all of us sons who do not have exact copies of our mother’s DNA. Even though we were not mature ‘males’ until puberty (male being a reproductive definition), we were blue printed at conception to be males. Clearly in this case, and all others, the point life begins is conception when that blue print is made. The fact it takes days, weeks, months and years to complete the project is irrelevant. Check the DNA after conception and you have a human individual who is not part of the mother’s ’tissue’.

Just read the article. Bill O’Reilley just exposed the couple who will make billions from this amendment. He questioned why the Missouri media is not exposing them. They are trying to create a silicon valley type of scenario for embryonic stem cell research concentrating in cloning.
They would be the only state where you could be cloned. They would have the market cornered. The liberal media won’t expose them.
AJ, I have, to quote an old saying, “a dog in this hunt”. My grandson was born with defective kidneys and, before his 2nd birthday, he received one of his dad’s kidneys. He is now nearly 6 and doing great, but he will probably need a new kidney sometime in his 20’s or early 30’s, and the ability to grow his own would eliminate the ultra-expensive anti-rejection drugs that he now takes.
