Reminder: Dems Praise Terrorists While Belittling Our Troops

Published by at 10:13 am under 2006 Elections,All General Discussions

Just a reminder that Democrats have long insulted our troops, Link 1:

Kerry’s party is the party of Patty Murray, who praised Osama bin Laden’s charity work with nary a nod to our men and women in uniform who have sailed and flown to the most far-flung regions of the world on reconstruction and humanitarian missions.

Link 2 [Michael Moore]:

First, can we stop the Orwellian language and start using the proper names for things? Those are not “contractors” in Iraq. They are not there to fix a roof or to pour concrete in a driveway. They are MERCENARIES and SOLDIERS OF FORTUNE. They are there for the money, and the money is very good if you live long enough to spend it.

The Iraqis who have risen up against the occupation are not “insurgents” or “terrorists” or “The Enemy.” They are the REVOLUTION, the Minutemen, and their numbers will grow — and they will win. Get it, Mr. Bush?

The man sat next to Jimmy Carter for a SOTU speech. Link 3:

Former President Jimmy Carter says he’s encouraged by the participation of Hamas in next week’s Palestinian elections because the terrorist organization has political integrity.

And who can ignore this sentiment on the day of 9-11:

And on, back through the war in Southeast Asia. “War criminal” means just that — inflicting a level of carnage barbaric and unacceptable even in time of war. It does not even begin to touch the many regimes — today, Israel comes to mind — that the U.S. has supported, armed, advised, and even installed, who have inflicted horrors on their own populations.

Tuesday was a day of complete horror in the history of the United States; and the American public as well as its leaders will demand retribution. Let’s not forget, however, how we got to this day.

The military was always seen as the butchers of an evil empire by the left. They have not changed their stripes – they just hid them. The left hopes for Al Qaeda to win, to avenge the world for America’s evil. And no, they don’t care if “mercenaries” get killed in Iraq. To them, America is never a good cause to die for. The only good cause is to dies destroying America.

Great list AJ. Even though most of us know this list, voters that only receive MSM news will never have seen it all put together.

So yes, I am going off on my fav subject. The MSM either shape the story ………I actually heard one today write another ‘line’ to his little joke. Kerry said on Imus he omitted ONE word (us). The MSM is writing this story from scratch.

Or they do The Silence. I disagreed with Powerline’s view of Mark Halpien yesterday. I give that man NO PASS for ABC. All should go read HHewitt who has extensive interview with MH. MH decided right off that Kerry blew a joke. Now how did he figure that out?

How many front pages of MSM carried Kerry’s slur yesterday? How many of these carried Foley? With ABC leading the charge.

This Silence should be screamed by all. The Silence is what allowed the public to be mislead about the Swifties. They wrote the story and stayed Silent about any real facts about 1971.

If the MSM were truth tellers…….they would connect the same quotes you just gave us and publish as context to this story.

This story is MORE. It is Charlie Rangel trying to get the draft and putting out false info. It is a story of a thousand legs of contempt from schools not allowing ROTC to recruiters on campus. Contempt!

  2. Christoph says:

From the Imus appearance this morning, approx. 6:40 in…

    … the quotable Kerry:

“John McCain says we oughta send another hundred thousand troops over there. First of all, we don’t have another hundred thousand troops. Secondly, uh, if we send them over there, uh, it’s going to do exactly what’s already happenned, which is attract more terrorists, more jihadists.

“Our own generals are telling us that it’s the numbers of troops are the problem and the fact is that that’s what’s adding to the number of terrorists in the world.”

I see, so it’s the U.S. military that is the problem. There are simply too many of them. And this creates terrorists and jihadists.

  3. Ken says:

    Christoph

Unfortunately for Bush defenders, many Bush officials have defended the modest number of troops sent on the same grounds, namely less would be less likely to give the Iraqis an impression of overbearing occupation.

The premise that liberals want al Qaeda to win is also disingenous,
though I am not a liberal. Liberals-and educated conservatives- realize al Qaeda cannot “win” if by winning is meant establishing
an international caliphate. It can play a part in reducing US
prescense in the Moslem world, however, but then George
Washington also, opposed needless intervention far from our shores.

  4. Christoph says:

So Ken, do you think the Republicans will pick up seats in either the House or the Senate or do you think they might lose a few?

  5. Ken says:

Of course they will lose at least a few, and wise veteran Gopers, as I’m sure Strata knows, have said it will be good for the GOP
to lose some power because of its neocon-instigated Iraq debacle.

  6. For Enforcement says:

    Ken, oranges and apples.
You took this statement by Christoph to be equivalent to the statement you made following it. It is, in fact, apples and oranges.
“I see, so it’s the U.S. military that is the problem. There are simply too many of them. And this creates terrorists and jihadists.”

    Christoph
    and then you:

“Unfortunately for Bush defenders, many Bush officials have defended the modest number of troops sent on the same grounds, namely less would be less likely to give the Iraqis an impression of overbearing occupation.”

    overbearing occupation(apples)/terrorists and jihadists(oranges)

and you said:”wise veteran Gopers, as I’m sure Strata knows, have said it will be good for the GOP
to lose some power because of its neocon-instigated Iraq debacle.”

Simply put, that’s a crock. No “wise veteran GOPers” would ever say it would be good for the GOP to lose any seats.

That is just a fantasy of the Looney Left Liberals(like yourself)

If you don’t think you are a member of the LLL, why do you espouse all of their positions.

Just what the hell is a neocon? And who is one? For neo to apply, the meaning would have to be changed drastically. But then you have no problem with redefing: you don’t refer to yourself as a Looney Leftie. that certainly would have to be redefined for you not to be a member.

And just why have you gotten on this fantasy lately that anyone that disagrees with you must be uneducated? You’ve said that in several comments later? you got an ‘ignorance’ hangup or something?

  7. For Enforcement says:

Also, who has ever claimed Osama’s intention is a “international caliphate”? I’ve never seen that claim.

  8. Ken says:

How about the wise GOP vet…George Will?

For Enforcement , no wonder your foreign policy impulses
are “off,”-you don’t even know what al Qaeda’s ultimate goal
    is.
I believe the education groove got unwound when you dared
accused the Swedes, who have a much higher literacy rate
than Americans, of being uneducated dissolutes.

  9. For Enforcement says:

Ken, I never said the Swedes were uneducated, in fact I stated that they are required to get education beyond high school. Being dissolute has nothing to do with education level. You did know that didn’t you?

“For Enforcement , no wonder your foreign policy impulses
are “off,”-you don’t even know what al Qaeda’s ultimate goal.”

I notice you didn’t quote who said “international caliphate”. I think if you check, you’ll find his stated goal is an Islamic Caliphate. He only seeks to unite the Muslim countries under a caliphate and to lessen Western influence over that caliphate. He has never stated it to be “international”
I thought you knew about google. A simple google search would have told you that? I’m certainly beginning to question your rudimentry skills.

  10. For Enforcement says:

Would someone please point it out to me if Ken is ever right on anything. I read all his comments on this site, and I don’t know of anything he got right yet.

I’m thinking of putting up a reward if anyone can find something he is right on.

  11. Limerick says:

    Enforcement:

Ken is right about one thing. I’m a Zionist. Other then that. Nope. He is simply a Kossack. ALL his threads about America, the troops, Bush, MSM, everything always points right back to Israel. That is where his true hate lies. Destory America you destroy Israel…simple as that. So if that is his goal…..then where do I sign up for Israel?….ahhhhh right there…..

    Shalom Ken!

  12. Ken says:

By international caliphate I mean , as does al Qaeda , a theocracy
which subsumes national boundaries, which is why I use the term
    “international.”

  13. Ken says:

A seperate post due Limerick’s paranoia.

You’ve got it backwards. Eliminate the Zionist Lobby’s control
of Congress, you sharply reduce America’s thrust for Empire and
would have reduced as sharply America’s chances of going to Iraq, as Congressman Moran (West Virginia) pointed out.
