Weldon, Padget, Sherwood To Lose – Fox
Sad night with a Weldon loss, but I mentioned Kerry leaning districts would be ‘cleansing’ the reps. I am still holding out for a Rep hold (7 seats down right now – actually down 8 with Johnson in CT). Now we know – we cannot allow the dems to split conservatives. And the fighting over immigration and Dubai Ports may have allowed a Democrat win. This is suppose to be, historically, a dem pickup. But cons could learn to respect each other. Next time we work together – right/
foley/negron back up 1% with 75% in
It’s so sad to see Curt Weldon lose. He’s one of the few people I respect in Congress. I can’t decide if I’m going to have a drink, or if I’m going to pray. Both seem like a good idea.
I was thinking the same thing. Some of the folks who lost like Hostettler were right in the middle of that assanine immigration fight. What a waste. This vote does kind of make the point that most people would have preferred solutions to temper tantrums.
Keep an eye on GA-12, looks like it could be a pickup and could weigh huge on control of the house.
AJ,
FYI – Steele isn’t conceding. Says only a small portion of the vote is in and there is plenty of time to count it out. Says race has been called on exit polls which have been proven wrong. Gore II?
Osama, Ayman al-Zawahiri, the Mad Mullahs, Assad, Khaled Mashal, Mullah Omar and the whole cast of our enemies must be rubbing their hands in glee tonight and shouting “Allahu Akbar” each time a Republican candidate bites the dust. The only bad news, from their point of view, is that Lieberman won easily.
I’m chalking this election up as a victory for Al Qaeda and the Mad Mullahs.
