Judith Miller Witnessed Secret Interrogation

Published by at 3:19 pm under All General Discussions

In what has to be a bizarre footnote to the story of NY Times Reporter Judith Miller, it seems she was witness to the interrogation of a Chicago based Palestinian sympathizer in 1993:

Journalist Judith Miller told a federal court jury Monday how she secretly witnessed the 1993 interrogation of a Chicago grocer charged with providing money and recruits to Palestinian terrorists.

She testified that she flew to Israel in 1993 after reading about Salah’s arrest and contacted aides to Israeli Prime Minister Yitzak Rabin, whom she described as a longtime friend.

Through Rabin and Shin Bet chief Yakov Perry, she was invited to visit the interrogation center in Ramallah provided that she would not reveal in any article she wrote that she had been there and seen Salah questioned.

One has to ask whether this makes the NY Times complicit in an international, secret interrogation network against US citizens. The idea an American was held for interrogation in a foreign country would seem to be a war crime by today’s reporting standards for news. But not under President Clinton. Interrogating terrorists on foreign soil under Bush is bad, but interrogating US citizens on foreign soil under Clinton good. Pot, meet Kettle.

Like I said before the election, MSM was only responsible for 15 points in the presidential election, for this election they upped the anti to 20 to 25 points. Why, because they lost the first election. Clinton initiated rendition, Bush also did it, who would know. MSM is no longer an institution for informing the public but a producer of votes for the democrats. How are any different from “Yellow Journalism” of the past?

This is why the MSM endorsed Campaign Finance Reform so they could control the message. It is also why they battle blogs and talk radio – the alternative media. The MSM is an enemy of our democracy and they will have us all marching under the socialist banner with the Democrat Party – whose allies are in Moscow, Beijing, Al Qaeda and Iran. The Dems ran as moderates and will govern as extreme leftists. We are in serious, serious danger….it will get worse before it gets better.

Well why don’t you proclaim just as loudly the need to leave THIS country then? After all, those numbers above are people within our country killing each other…. are WE in the midst of a civil war also??????
Get a little perspective folks and whil….

    Mr. Strata,

May I suggest that you use spelling and grammar checks before posting? In the Judith Miller article you wrote “complicate” for “complicit”.

Over the last two weeks or so, I have noticed about 5 misspelled words on your blog.

    I’m a grammar teacher. I just can’t help myself.

    Blessings,

    Freedom4me,

Sorry but we have tried spell checkers and they seem to break the site. If I had more time I would check the spelling better – but I don’t. BTW, a spell checker would not have caught that error (most of my typos pass the checkers).

Just keep pointing them out and I or someone else will keep fixing them!

Well, Rabin is no longer with us. How about Perry?

I recall my incredulity at Bob Woodward’s claim to have “interviewed” an unconscious Bill Casey, who never recovered to substantiate … or refute … the alleged interview.

Sorry, but I believe nothing from some of those fable-writers.

The media will do anything to get a story. I doubt if there are any ethics that would stop them. Oh, I forgot, the media have no ethics. I get tired of hearing the media chooses not sides. If American reporters do not choose their own country, then they are traitors. Of course, with Miller sitting in on this interview during the Clinton administration is par for the course.
