Injury Lawyer’s Heaven

Published by at 7:32 pm under All General Discussions

The EU better start raising taxes to prepare for what will be some of the largest injury award cases to ever hit the continent. What idiots felt that street signs would not be required on dark, rainy nights to help people avoid serious injury? An EU bureacratic idiot of course. Maybe we can export our ambulance chasing awyers to the EU for a while?

    “accidents have declined dramatically.”

By the way, have you heard that France’s major thoroughfares are in much better shape than the dilpadated US highway structure?

There is something to be said for the psychology behind it. If you don’t tell people constantly what to do and rely on their them to be responsible for themself, the community becomes a better place to live. That goes for the “community” of the road as well.

That is a pretty significant swing to the right on the part of the European mindset. The idea that government regulation of more things people do leads in the end to people being irresponsible (because government has assumed practically all responsibility for telling people what to do) and making people more responsible for their actions results in more responsible behavior is something the right has been saying in this country for years.

I would be quite tickled to see that experiment expanded beyond just traffic signs and regulations and filter through the community in the form of all sorts of ordinances, codes, and regulations. There are probably thousands of rules and regulations that can be tossed out and replaced with a few general concepts. My guess is once people get used to being treated as adults on the roads, they are going to demand the same treatment in other areas too.

I thought Rome already had this.

Maybe these cities are trying to eliminate some of their welfare recipiants.

Seriously, are these people insane? The more agressive people will have the right of way. Not all people are polite and courteous by a a long shot. I foresee a lot of injuries and deaths.

Maybe they are going to use the Gallagher method. You issue each citizen a spring loaded gun that shoots suction cup darts. When someone is an idiot in traffic, you shoot their vehicle with a dart. The cop simply sits at an intersection and waits for the car with all the darts stuck to it.
