The Emerging “Dirty Bomb” Theory

Finally we are seeing some people using science, analysis and logic to address the fact we have a series of sworn enemies of Russia, who are aligned with allies of Al Qaeda, turning up exposed to massive amounts of Polonium 210 (compared the amount needed to kill one person), a material used in nuclear bomb triggers and a good candidate for a dirty bomb:

Therefore, without sounding as unhinged as the conspiratorial hordes that we seek to expose, we must seriously consider the possibility that Litvinenko was not assassinated but died after somehow exposing himself to Plutonium 210. The “dirty bomb” theory is one of the most likely means of exposure. Plutonium 210 has certain industrial uses that make it relatively easy to obtain; however, Litvinenko was not involved in any business that would have had a legitimate reason to use Plutonium 210. He was, however, intimately involved with a Chechen terrorist organization that had, in the past, made a “dirty bomb” from radioactive material similar to Plutonium 210. The possibility, therefore, exists that Litvinenko was at some point in a location where Plutonium 210 was being used to assemble a terrorist weapon. Such a prospect is far more disconcerting then your simple, run of the mill, Kremlin-ordered “hit” of a political dissident; and it is a possibility which should be explored by the British government and the civilized world.

Indeed it is. One thing not being reported is whether anyone thinks they have accounted for all the Polonium 210 associated with Berezovsky’s long time associates (Litvnenko and Lugovoi). These are not Putin’s people. A dirty bomb is a realistic option in this case.

I think we should reassess and think about the fact that Litvinenko may have been exposed on or before Oct. 16 – and that there was time to get that whole Scaramella scam set up and running by Nov. 1 –

Maybe. Maybe he meant marked but not with PO..says something visible only under UVA..and he was merely remarking on the similarity of his being “marked” with PO.

If they were not sorking for the Russians and knew they were contaminated, why would they rush back to RUssia BTW?

  3. crosspatch says:

“why did he keep coming back to London to meet with him? That part doesn’t add up.”

What doesn’t add up is Kovtun. He supposedly only met Litvinenko twice yet seems to be the heaviest contaminated. I will bet he was contaminated in his home. He had to meet with Litvinenko on that fateful day in order to provide cover for why he was so contaminated. Sadly, his simply being at the bar drinking with Litvinenko probably isn’t going to explain the contamination level of his home and office.

Clarice – Lugovoi presents himself as in a desperate state of denial – he thinks there is something that can be done – he’s hiding out at his country home trying to figure out how to get out of this – why would he go to London – he lives in Russia it’s his home and if he were in London he’d get picked up – this way he can chose his own time and place to come forward. – remember he was in ARMENIA just before he found out that Litvinenko was sick and in the hospital – he only returned to Moscow from Armenia Nov.20 I think just as the news was breaking about Thalium

  5. crosspatch says:

Of course, this could be an experiment in a different kind of poisoning. One where no one poisoner gives the lethal dose but cumulatively, they provide a lethal dose.

Lets say I contaminate 10 people who are all close associates of the target. Each of those 10 will contaminate others around them, but only the target will be contaminated by all 10 sources giving him a larger dose than anyone else.

  6. Lizarde1 says:

well CP that’s one way to take a cell – maybe the CIA should look into this as a way of dealing with AlQQ

  7. crosspatch says:

Maybe someone did. What if some AlQ guy is looking to buy something on the black market to make a dirty bomb out of. You give him polonium but tell him it is americium.

    Good point.

Kovtun arrives at Hamburg from Moscow contaminated. Lugovoi goes back and forth between London and Moscow contaminated at different times. The operation is exposed, and it appears they’re both contaminated, and they both go to Russia.

The site meter shows that someone from Moscow has been reading here in the last 100 or so visitors – wonder who?

  10. Lizarde1 says:

CP – brilliant ! where do you work again?

  11. mariposa says:

What was Lugovoi doing in Armenia?

This just came up at Axis News:
Armenian authorities claim they prevented coup d’etat attempt

“and they both go to Russia.”

Because they both are Russians and live there. I would probably go home to the US under those circumstances.

    Lizarde, I’m sure it’s Putin’s translator! 😀

  14. crosspatch says:

Yeah, I posted about that case last week. I forget the guy’s name. The Brits classified a lot of the evidence in the trial. Apparently he was trying to get hold of stuff a lot more dangerous than americium.

I’ve never believed that Polonium was intended as a murder weapon. Far too many downsides. A good question is why it’s primary purpose is not being discussed in the mainstream media.

It’s odd that terror plots have been invented to scare everyone and brought airlines to a standstill. Now there is a real risk it is being buried as a conspiracy theory.

I don’t believe the so-called suspects would have put themselves, their families and associates at fatal risk, so it stands to reason they did not know they were contaminated.

It is also interesting that only the German media has reported the ‘dust’ form of Polonium. Generally it was assumed it was liquidised. The German investigators wore full-covering suits and masks unlike the Brit police. They appear altogether better informed and prepared.

  16. crosspatch says:

I suppose it is a combination of sparse facts and bad reporting that results in all this speculation.

  17. mariposa says:

“I would probably go home to the US under those circumstances.”

Even if authorities there knew you were smuggling radiactive material for a dirty bomb to be used there? You wouldn’t seek asylum elsewhere?

  18. crosspatch says:

Who would give asylum to me for smuggling polonium?

  19. Lizarde1 says:

this article in German claims that PO was found on both washed and unwashed clothes and in the washing machine – also in the kids room in Hamburg: re the washed dishes at the Millenium – so how does this affect things re the Millenium dish washer?????
