1995 Oklahoma City Bombing And Terrorism
I ran across this article which discusses a recent Congressional Report that highlights evidence that the OKC bombing in 1995 was supported by Islamo Fascist Terrorists. I plan to read this and possibly post on it later, but thought folks would be interested in reading it themselves.
Update: All one needs to know about Clinton and terrorism is this 1995 quote to Governor Keating after news of the bombing:
Note: at the outset of the subcommittee’s investigation, former Oklahoma
governor Frank Keating personally requested that the investigation be called off. During
his meeting with the subcommittee chairman, Governor Keating mentioned that then-
President Bill Clinton had called him only hours after the bombing. According to
Keating, President Clinton’s first comment to him after the bombing was “God, I hope
there’s no Middle Eastern connection to this.â€
Is this what Sandy Bergler destroyed when he stole and shredded classified documents from the National Archives before the 9-11 Commission was able to review them?
There was a little blurb in the media about a ME looking man in the crowd milling around in the aftermath of the explosion and what looked like the same man in a picture with either McVey or Nichols. Nothing was ever heard of it again.
In those days, I didn’t know enough to download articles and pictures like that to my own desktop where they would be safe from the cleansers.
At the time of the Oklahoma bombing, I also noted an unsettling similarity between Lee Harvey Oswald’s suspiciously quick arrest and that of McVey, who was caught a short time later with the damning evidence in his truck. His subsequent trial, conviction and execution wasn’t at the normal glacial speed of such events, but in quick succession. No candlelit vigils, no demonstrations opposing capital punishment, etc.
Didn’t pass the smell test then, doesn’t pass it now.
I wonder if the new most ethical congress in history, while demanding answers for the alleged fantastic traitorous acts by Bush et al., will demand that the 100 redacted pages of the Barrett report be made public. They even got to poor Senator Grassley who stated publicly that he’d make his copy public. Nothing ever came of it, nor did anyone, to my knowledge, ever ask him about it.
When the truth about the Clinton administration is finally written, it will make the intrigues of the Kremlin, the emperors of China and Byzantium pale to insignificance.
That we survived made me reconsider the possibility of the existence of God.

I believe there was some connection to someone in the Philippines with regard to the OKC bombing. We now know of the large al Qaida linked group there. Might be worth looking into again.
Remember Nick Berg? Wasn’t there a connection between him and OKC?
Jayna Davis, an investigative journalist from the OKC area, makes a solid case for Iraqi involvement in “The Third Terrorist,” a sleeper book published about 5 years ago. What seems clear is that there was ME involvement, either Iraqi or AQ. Clinton took a pass on the investigation and now it’s too late.
BTW Crosspatch, the connection to the Philippines is Terry Nichols, whose wife was Philippina. Nichols is serving a life sentence.
Jose Padilla is a dead ringer for the infamous “John Doe #2” person who was publicized in the form of a police sketch. McVeigh and Padilla lived in the Fort Lauderdale area during the same period. If you look at the sketch and a photo of Padilla, you will be in for a surprise.

There is an excellent book by Jayna Davis called “The Third Terrorist”. She was a TV reporter in OK at the time. The book presents evidence of the involvement of mid easterners with McVeigh. It also goes into all the stonewalling she went through as she tried to get the government interested in her work.
Wish that Committee document contained a date on it…
I used to think Padilla was John DOE #2, but now I seriously wonder if it was Ali Mohammed…the mole in the FBI…Mr. Triple Crosser.
IIRC, Nick Berg was in Norman OK, near OKC, at the same time that Zacarias Moussaoui was there (wasn’t he attending the Norman Flight school?). As some point prior to 9/11, Nick “accidentally” ran into Zac on a bus…Zac asked Nick if he could use his laptop to send an email.
And let’s not forget the reporting by then CNN correspondent Steve Emerson regarding the “Jihad” convention held in OKC Christmas Day 1992:

It is a good read but poorly organized and some of the writing is weak. The thing that I wish she would have focused more on and used real names was the libel suit brought by Hussein al-Husseini. She won, and it wasn’t even close. I’m suprised that this story didn’t get more circulation because there is a VIPS connection to the story. Larry Johnson, Pat Lang, and Vincent Cannistraro were shopping the story pretty widely in 2002 with Jayna Davis: that’s how she got in to see Sen. Arlen Spector. Cannistraro’s 302 (from a Saudi source) pegged the bombing to Iraqi’s or “Afghani” partisians, Davis’s work points to Iraqis, the Israelis pointed to Hamas.
Pretty interesting that Steve Emerson backed off quickly-about the time MeVeigh was arrested. more later

It was actually Norman, OK-city of the University of Oklahoma. There is a character there, Menepta that has a pretty extensive Islamic radical history. After the 9/11 attack he was arrested and charged with some firearms violations (he is a convicted felon) served something like 3 years. I think the connection to Nick Berg was that Berg had Menepta’s phone number and had allowed (in some way) for Mosssaoui to use his logon infomation to access the OU computer systems (this is from memory, kind of foggy on the details)

This is one of the more confusing aspects of the case and Davis’s book really drops the ball here. The “John Doe #2†sketch that got wide circulation after the Padilla arrest was from the hotel room in Kansas. The FBI has said all along this was supposed to be McVeigh. Two other “John Doe #2†sketches also circulated-the one in profile of the Arab looking man seen in the brown Chevy truck and in the Ryder truck-this one seems to be pegged to Hussein al-Husseini. The other was of an army private that had rented a truck a day before McVeigh (also from Kansas). This identification was the big show that Reno used to try to close up all “John Doe #2†sightings. She had a big press conference saying that the private got swept up into the investigation, was questioned and he is not under any suspicion. As for the book, if they plan on a 2nd edition, they should include pictures: John Doe 2A, John Doe 2B, and John Doe 2C.

I have felt ever since the Oklahoma City bombing that Iraq was involved. All these witnesses seeing a middle eastern man at the scene. This was before the public was really aware of the terrorists. And wasn’t Saddam Hussein supporting an Al Quaela group in the Phillipines? Perhaps this will come out that he was involved in the Oklahoma bombing after all.
And as far as Sandy Berger putting these documents in his pants. Actually, his pants are not big enough for all the Clintons had to hide.
Almost missed this as I have stayed on my political blog vacation since the elections with only an occasional read……..
Hope you do follow this up AJ, since OKC is when I started thinking that we were under serious attack. We all know that it was something so big, so important, so politically earth shattering written on at least one of the stolen Berger papers……otherwise……the risk was too great to enact a Watergate break-in by someone as high up Sandy. They all had to have those papers. Someone jotting down a comment on OKC would be important enough.
There was a reporter at FOX (Rita ?) that later moved to MSNBC that kept writing to McVeigh for an interview. I remember watching a show where she read a letter from him (think within a couple of weeks of his execution). I never saw a follow up on what she read, didn’t see it reported elsewhere….nada.
With the evidence, witnesses, etc…..can you imagine what the MSM would have done with OKC or Berger if it had happened under Bush? Back to vacation……thinking about the handling of Berger vs Libby…..makes my blood boil. Reminds me of Frum/Miers, Collins/Katrina, Specter/NSA, Malkin/immigration, McCain/gangs, Graham/torture and a thousand other cuts by those high road Repubs that were determined they had to have their way. Can’t wait to watch the progress they make under Dems……but what the heck……blame Bush…..and remember that in another 50 years they might get the opportunity to be back in high road, principled power. Not holding my breath since the Dems know how to fight to win. They are not so dumb that will let it happen again (even with the Sheehans).
Unless someone figures how to do something about NBC,ABC,CBS,MSNBC,CNN, NYT and all the others…….the Repubs will never sneak back in…….regardless of what average Americans want or feel. They are running this country and perfect examples are OKC, Plame and Berger. Sorry…spouse has been force-feeding me Good Morning America to start my day and I now know about Global warming and Important Woman Nancy P breaking barriers. Surely we all remember the big deal and respect they showed Rice? How they are still investigating Berger Follies? Can you imagine if Gonzales said he was sorry for burning up that many children at Waco?
The Dems get the power from the MSM. MSM changed American’s viewpoint on Iraq. They run each and every issue and it was a fluke that will not be repeated……letting Repubs gain power. It is NOT Dems that will keep Repubs out……it is the daily Good Morning America’s and the NYT’s Berger Silence. Only when the good Senators get in front of a camera every day and point this out……(they screwed their chance while they had real power)……will they ever begin the journey back. Whoever has the MSM has the Voice and the Silence. OKC was the Silence.
