Bin Laden Not Talking To Mullah Omar
Mullah Omar, head of the Afghan Taliban until the US ousted them in response to 9-11, claims he has not seen or heard from Bin Laden for years. Is he being honest? Who knows. But it is worth noting that Bin Laden’s greatest ally and protector seems to have not heard from him for some time now.
By the way … there is word going around that the Supreme Leader of Iran … Sayyid Ali Khamenei … has died. Now I suppose that those elections in Iran last month might turn out to be pretty important.
AJ,
A more interesting question is “When are we going to capture Mullah Omar?”
Pakistan has been a reluctant ally, and an ally only because of GWB’s strong leadership.
I have a feeling that the stops are going to be pulled out a little on the war on terror.
I also have a feeling that the documents we obtained from the captured Iranians in Baghdad are going to precipitate some serious changes in policy. Note that an additional aircraft carrier was dispatched to the area today.
As for Pakistan, I have a feeling that our special operations forces are going to be invited to assist in the location of certain “miscreants”.
FYI, more news from that region of the world … from ABC:
How did Reuters get his e mail address?

I think Bin Laden is dead. He looked pretty awful about 3 years ago.
Kind of green in some pictures.
I wonder if the documents found on the Iranians in Baghdad had anything to do with Negropointe stepping down as intelligence chief. Maybe they gave information that our intelligence services have completely missed. Wouldn’t be the first time.
The administration seems to be shaking up in all directions But this might be in preparation of impeachment hearings that Pelosi are not on the table. Ha!
