Clarice, America has a powerful navy! It's hardly likely that oil prices will go up, due to crap pulled at sea, where our navy would be ineffective.

And, China has the most to worry over in a scenario where shipping lanes aren't usable.

Even during WW2, and the "build up" ... America patrolled the Atlantic. These days? We do it all.

There may a reason we don't get much internet traffic from our naval personnel. I read on Strategy Page that our ships at sea have very little access to internet connections. I think grounded troops have better service. How so? Grounded troops get the "overheads." The stuff used globally these days to make cell phones work.

They work better in China and Iraq, than they do in India and Iran.

Different business models.

But it's a "new toy." So, over time, we'll see if the military can't fix it for the men at sea; who usually spend six months OUT. With only stop-overs at ports.

Letters, on the other hand? Mail, I think, gets delivered somehow, with more efficiency than internet coverage. Sure. Things change as technology advances.

But you'll notice this. "In-beds." People who want to be inbedded with troops, runs high on land. And, not at sea. And, I don't think it has much to do with space. But this, too, can be one of the handicaps.

Still, of all the books written, the Caine Mutiny stands out as one of the best military books on the subject, written.

The verbal-gerbil is ONE PERSON. Like Saddam.

And, like Saddam, the verbal-gerbil holds onto his power with terror at home.

There's a great cartoon out there, today.

Since everyone knows we hear from the verbal-gerbil quite often, on "how" he's gonna nuke Israel. While today, you see the graphic.

Olmert's holding a real missile. It's huge. Did it come from inside his pants?

And, the nut in a dinner jacket? I think he's holding a pen knife.

Besides, when you read these things in the press, it's not something straight out of military school. It's what the press cooks up to "entertain."

And, since all existence, for every individual is "finite," it's just a matter of time before the verbal-gerbil disintegrates into dust. He won't even be remembered, well, in Tehran.

Days are numbered. You didn't know?

What replaces what's there now?

I think democracy would be up for grabs.

And, unlike Iraq, where there's been some "assistance" given to the Iraqis, the iranians would be on their own.

While we'll just monitor how things develop, by sea. And, air.

Bush is proving able to deliver "packages" as good as Fed Ex. Who could ask for more?

Robert/Ken/Cone/Idiot

"I’m sure the dense denizens of the Strata-Sphere are all busy rushing down to the recruiting station to get first in line to volunteer to invade Iran."

Damn right, if I were young enough, I would be first in line. I volunteered when I was 16 and was in boot camp on my 17th birthday. I'm not a candy ass. And I don't hate America like you do.

And don't worry, after Iran drops that test nuke (that you wish them success on) on your ass, I'd be one of the first to volunteer to drop
one back on them. Thankfully your butt would be 6 feet under at the time and that would keep you from protesting my cruel punishment of those nice Iranians.

So Iran doesn't have a plan? They're gerbils? That's the same kind of smug superiority that Cheney and Feith mouthed when Iraq was going to be a cake-walk and they would greet us with flowers. Rumsfeld said it would be over in weeks. Cheney said the insurgency is in its last throes. Yeah, right - 3,000 dead kids later. Course I'm sure the dense denizens of the Strata-Sphere are all busy rushing down to the recruiting station to get first in line to volunteer to invade Iran.

The reason the armed forces war game is to prepare for any contingency - and the generals do not want to embark on a foreign adventure in Iran.

As for the Enforcerer:

And who is the dictator shouting here on this site? Give just one example, or to put it mildly, STFU !!

Oops.

What's the berbal-gerbil gonna do to "block" the Straits of Hormuz?" And why entertain a comic book mentality on "how he could do it?" When you see Olmert going to China. And, China's the one who'd be desperate. She she IMPORTS all her oil through those Straits.

And, Bush just pushed Admiral Fallon into the top Mideast Job.

Hardly likely that the USA lacks naval skills.

And, it's hardly likely that the screaming democraps would "block" funds for our navy. That would be on par with touching the 3rd rail in full daylight.

While if you watch the donk's meager words, "all see them complaining of these days is "Iraq." They haven't got a handle on this thing at all.

And, they stand to LOSE!

In other words? We just had an election. Two years from now we get another.

And, I think that politicians who lie, while wearing Blue Dog cloaks, don't get to first base on the next go-round. Even though, before that, they'll call in the plastic surgeons.

And, ya know what? The donkey face could look like pelosi's. Where you think she's 35-again. But she's just an old hag.

The verbal-gerbil is on DEFENSE. He uses Iran's limited military reach to keep himself in power.

To those who have no insight. And, they don't remember the soviet's parades; all the "military parades did" was put floats out. After the parades were over, nothing much worked. Their military went without shoes. And, many sent to the front without guns, just waited for someon with a gun, to die.

Oh. Let's say the verbal-gerbil is STUPID enough to try something against our navy. (Given how much rope he's gotten, so far. In Iraq. Where we've got Cause Beli for war, already. Lots of iranians show up on the battlefield. As they do in gaza. Persians make better "fighters" than arabs. But still they get caught. And, die. A lucky few? Get captured. While we data mine. To data mine is to go beyond collecting data. It's the HOST. And, it turns out you can read this stuff.

But don't worry. Journalists have poor math skills. It's ALL under the radar!

So, there ya go. The verbal-gerbil "tries." Or "not tries." It all depends on what he thinks when he looks at all that rope. (Saddam? No longer thinks. And, the rope's in Sadr's hands. Would you call that looting?)

Iran has a plan?

Actually, the verbal-gerbil is an actor in a drama presented by the media. And, they're not in charge of all that much stuff.

Besides, the verbal-gerbil is holding onto power by his fingernails, now.

And, nobody knows what's ahead, because their current ayatollah's not doing well, in the health department.

That's what happens when lead actors go kaput. And, there's no off-stage "understudies" ready to go on. Just fights that break out.

All mafias work the same way. As soon as their weakness in one "family" ... (and this could be caused by intercine warfare), others line up to grab the "brass ring." Which is how you grab the gold from the State.

You label the state as being under the current controls of "your family."

And, sometimes?

When you see an atrocity like the verbal-gerbil you begin to understand that his key to his power is using terror against the population. Especially the kids. For some reason, when kids "riot" the inner-sanctums get a little nervous. So they go out and bang heads. To apply pressure. It's not exactly a "long term contract."

Do you know why?

Because popularity counts for something.

Even though our elites in the media have not caught on; all you really see are businesses that once could claim they were successful. But, today are has been enterrprises.

You don't think so?

Well, ya know. Even hollywoood once had real stars! You can even cite their names, today. While today's current crop? Reminds me how Drudge, on his radio program, aways spoke ill of Jennifer Annison. And, said she couldn't open a movie to save her life. And, the statistics bore him out.

So, for those that think iran has a plan, that's laughable.

Even in the verbal-gerbil's hayday, all he had was nasrallah. And, the freaks produced by the House of Saud's take-over of islam. So it produces enough freaks, that in other cultures would be ostracized to mad houses.

Now, I do suspect, however, that BUSH HAS A PLAN! And, then when he states it out loud, the congress critters, who hide behind closed doors when it comes to voicing stuff contrary to public opinion, stand a chance to risk the entire deomcrapic party as coming out looking like Jimmuh carter's face.

Smart money never goes there.

That’s what happens when lead actors go kaput. And, there’s no off-stage “understudies” ready to go on. Just fights that break out.

All mafias work the same way. As soon as their weakness in one “family” … (and this could be caused by intercine warfare), others line up to grab the “brass ring.” Which is how you grab the gold from the State.

You label the state as being under the current controls of “your family.”

And, sometimes?

When you see an atrocity like the verbal-gerbil you begin to understand that his key to his power is using terror against the population. Especially the kids. For some reason, when kids “riot” the inner-sanctums get a little nervous. So they go out and bang heads. To apply pressure. It’s not exactly a “long term contract.”

Do you know why?

Because popularity counts for something.

Even though our elites in the media have not caught on; all you really see are businesses that once could claim they were successful. But, today are has been enterrprises.

You don’t think so?

Well, ya know. Even hollywoood once had real stars! You can even cite their names, today. While today’s current crop? Reminds me how Drudge, on his radio program, aways spoke ill of Jennifer Annison. And, said she couldn’t open a movie to save her life. And, the statistics bore him out.

So, for those that think iran has a plan, that’s laughable.

Even in the verbal-gerbil’s hayday, all he had was nasrallah. And, the freaks produced by the House of Saud’s take-over of islam. So it produces enough freaks, that in other cultures would be ostracized to mad houses.

Now, I do suspect, however, that BUSH HAS A PLAN! And, then when he states it out loud, the congress critters, who hide behind closed doors when it comes to voicing stuff contrary to public opinion, stand a chance to risk the entire deomcrapic party as coming out looking like Jimmuh carter’s face.

Smart money never goes there.

you said: "Worst case? "

That would be if anyone reads anything you write and think you have more than one brain cell rubbing together creating brain activity. Anyone that says it is okay for an A bomb test in their neighborhood can't have more than one. I know in the past you've hoped for the killing of troops in Iraq. At the rate you're going, you will get UP to the ranking of full idiot soon.
Now I know why you're not at Kos, while they do allow loons and fruitcakes, they have a minimum requirement of two brain cells.
Take a long walk off a short pier.

Goodbye.

I guess a leopard really can’t change his spots.

FE, I thought it was stripes, heh, heh.

Robert/Ken, but if we let Iran do their first nuke test in YOUR neighborhood, none of what you cite will come to pass. Your neighborhood goes "POOF", then Iran goes "POOF" -- end of story (and a good trade to boot).

In regards to attacking Iran, I sure hope somebody was paying attention to the 2002 war games with retired Marine Lt. Gen. Paul Van Ripper in the role of Iran.

My guess is that Iran won't be trying that plan. Besides, that sounds like a plan that an AMERICAN military strategist would come up with, not that nut job, Ackmidinijihad.

"You might even try KOS - they are remarkably civil and there’s no dictator shouting,"

If you went over to Kos and wrote anything conservative, in the vein that you write liberal here, your post would never appear. They would block you and never let it show up. Yea, real open minded.

And who is the dictator shouting here on this site? Give just one example, or to put it mildly, STFU !!

you said: "- doesn’t mean they weren’t criminals. Same for Dubbya."
Your display of ignorance is dazzling.

Keep it up and I predict you won't be around long. Unless you slander me, I'm ignoring you. You aren't worth my time.

Enforcementer:

So you are content to let them do the testing there in your neighborhood? Once they do it, it’ll be a little late to wonder if they really meant what they said.

As I've said - I'm perfectly content to let them drop one on Israel - and if they do - to then blow them up real good. What I think is both hasty and unwise is to start another war - with a country 4x bigger than Iraq - when we are still mired in both Iraq and Afghanistan and unable to properly support the troops we have in theater already, when the interests of the United States are not being threatened in any substantive manner.

In regards to attacking Iran, I sure hope somebody was paying attention to the 2002 war games with retired Marine Lt. Gen. Paul Van Ripper in the role of Iran.

Lt. General Van Riper struck the blue forces first in a preemptive attack consisting of various boats and ships loaded with anti-ship missiles and large amounts of explosives in what amounted to suicide missions via the open seas. He utilized unconventional means of communication to coordinate a massive missile strike on the entire fleet of blue ships, along with waves of continuous kamikaze missions with boats and various unconventional planes. The result was thousands of sailors killed and 16 naval ships destroyed, in what amounted to a stunning and incredibly quick blow to what many consider to be an invincible American fighting force.

Attacking Iran is not such a great idea idea - and the neocon cowards who are cooking this up have such a great track record based on Iraq. But the bottom line is this:

What is the best case scenario?
In all but the rosiest of predictions - it MAY be possible to set back Iran's nuclear program a few years. So, best case - what we wind up with is a couple of years of no-nuke Iran at the cost of forever making them our enemy AND pissing off a billion Muslims world-wide. And that's the BEST case scenario.

Worst case?
Strait of Hormuz blocked, oil at $150.00 a barrel, world-wide economic collapse, terror, riots and bitter internecine wars, possible nuclear strikes on Israel, Pakistan's fragile govenment toppling, nuclear war between India & Pakistan, wild dogs in the streets . . . you get the idea . . . kind of like Ghostbusters. Do you really trust the incompetents who have totally screwed up Iraq to do any better in Iran?

Spook, he doesn't go over to Kos because he would just be another pea in the pod. A "me too er" nobody would give him the time of day because they all know that anyone posting over there is a loon. He's just here to create controversy.
Want to bet on how long he'll be here and who he'll be in his next incarnation? Sure doesn't take long to identify him. I guess a leopard really can't change his spots.
