More Surge & Purge

Published by AJStrata at 11:14 am under All General Discussions, Iraq

Seems US and Iraqi forces hit more paydirt today by nabbing a chief aid to the head of al Qaeda in Iraq during a raid earlier today. Not surprisingly al Qaeda is using gas revenues to fund their efforts. This means US forces are hot on the heals of Zarqawi’s replacement:

The official, who was involved in the raid, did not identify the two men, but added that the al-Masri aide had confessed to meeting the terror network leader the previous day in the Mahmoudiya area, but that he could not tell investigators of his current whereabouts because he was constantly on the move.

Now that is a fresh trail!
