Strata has in the past boasted of “defecting” Sunni tribes which turned
against the jihadists after co-operating them, but some of these have either reverted to co-operation after more US anti-Sunni excesses and some has been shown to have beeen contrived in the first place.
The prevailing consensus of Iraqi Sunnis seems to be “stay and we’ll
work with the jihadists to get you out; leave and we’ll start driving the
unneeded and then unwanted foreigners out.”

Of course, Strata might concede all this and still believe in the
ultimate talent of US counter-insurgency to reign victorious
in this arena, such has been his myopic faith in a failed presidents
commandering-in-chiefing.

I’m going with majority Sunni opinion, however.

It just makes me crazy that people cannot see the future and what it holds if we allow these madmen ONE INCH in this WOT. It will make “24″ look like Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood, imho.

I’m having trouble getting that image out of my brain Imagine the state of mind required to tie a 4 year old to the corpse of his decapitated father, let alone to decapitate the father in the first place. Imagine the state of mind of the 4 yr old. These people are demons.
