Chechens At Heart Of One Assassination
Not surprising to me is the fact two Chechen have been arrested in the murder of journalist Anna Politkovskaya:
Two Chechens are reported to have been arrested on suspicion of killing investigative reporter Anna Politkovskaya.
The pro-Kremlin daily paper Komsomolskaya Pravda reported that the men were detained following an analysis of photographs from military satellites taken on the day of the murder.
Ms Politkovskaya was shot dead outside her home in October. She had been working on a story about torture in Chechnya at the time of her death. Suspicions fell on the Kremlin, despite official denials of any involvement in the killing.
The unnecessary commentary about the supposed slant of the news organization is a clear indication the UK liberal media is disturbed by the very real possibility it has been wrong – and manipulated – regarding this horrific crime. While Politkovskaya was a critic of Putin, her liberal myopia left her exposed to naively believe the dissidents of Russia, the Chechens, were the good guys and would not harm her. My guess has been she was actually about to expose plots against Russia by following up her leads, which sent her actually towards the Chechens – which had to have her silenced. If true this should serve as a wake up call for the liberal media here and in the EU, who are too many times naive puppets to those forces who would use force to topple the democracies of the West.
“Chechnyans” involved. No surprise, here. They are responsible for Beslan. And, Berezofsky. The “B” players’ list.
Does this mean putin is a good guy? Hell, no. It just means he still stinks. But is POORER because russia bleeds talent. And, has nothing much except gas. Which is uses to hold up the people in eastern and western europe.
While the skilled labor, at retrieving energy from the ground, goes to America!
Ah. And, all the noise so far from Iran? Israel is going to switch to nuclear POWER. (Not bombs.) ENERGY. The door has been opened.
And, as the world spins things change. They always do. And, good and bad? All die, alike.
While in some cases, at death there are good estates.
Great estates, worth inheriting for generations to come.
And, lousy estates. Where you get nothing but debt. For generations to come stuck with those bills.
“Does this mean putin is a good guy? Hell, no. It just means he still stinks. But is POORER because russia bleeds talent. And, has nothing much except gas. Which is uses to hold up the people in eastern and western europe.”
What THIS means is Carol the Russophobe taking yet another
gratutitously solipstic swipe at the Bear with the usual faint praise for Israel.
For everyone else, it is worthwhile merely to point out the Russian-Chechen dispute is a border/sovereignity dispute and Mr. Putin’s
apt critique of the tension-exacerbating machinations of US empire yesterday is far more important to our concerns.
