House Dems Try And Fool America
Democrat leaders are trying to fool America into believing they are not going to strand our troops currently in Iraq without proper material, personell or replacements through defunding their efforts:
Democratic leadership yesterday sought to quell voices within their own party who want to “defund” the war in Iraq, while Republicans said that is exactly what the majority party intends to do.
The House continued its three-day, 36-hour debate on a nonbinding resolution to oppose President Bush’s plan to send more than 21,000 additional U.S. troops to Iraq.
“Some assert that this resolution is a first step to defunding our troops in the field. This is categorically false,” said Majority Leader Steny H. Hoyer, Maryland Democrat.
But of course that charade is hard to take seriously when other Democrat leaders, with the implicit approval of Pelosi and others, have announced their plan to ‘bleed’ our troops into submission. I gather Democrats want us to take them at their word. But since they give us two versions of their word, and they are on the record calling the sacrifices made in life and limb a ‘waste’, and they are on the record demanding an immediate surrender to al Qaeda – even though al Qaeda controls basically nothing in Iraq, I will take them at their word they plan to pull the rug out from under our military.
Want to prove me wrong Dems? Commit to supply our forces whatever they need to do their job. Then I will admit I was wrong. But do one thing at least, just be honest with America and debate your views and deal with the consequences of those views. You are not fooling anyone, but you are making yourselves look foolish.

a comment left over at Hot Air that I whole-heartedly agree with. Once again, just like before, we are under attack and don’t know it. If you value your freedom and if you value your life and those of your family, then support the ones who fight for it EVERY DAY!!!
God Bless our Soldiers, Sailors, Air Force, and Marines! We owe you everything! I have been thinking about getting some words of support to Congressmen like Patrick McHenry and maybe some contributions too. I am sick and tired of being whined at by the campaign committees to give money to the very people who are selling us out. NOT ONE GD DIME TO ANY OF THEM!!!

To anyone other than a neocon fellow traveller,”surrendering”
to something that “controls nothing in Iraq” would be considered
a logical impossibility. A “political microscope” might
also reveal a mix of hubris and hyperbole, barely concealing
a wish to stay in imperial control of that which does not belong to us—and using the hype to justify same.

Does anyone give a damn what the Shiias want?
We are in iraq to prevent al qaeda and Iran and syria from taking over and running the worlds biggest oil funded terrorist camp in the world and we are not gonna let the Shiias or anyone else stop us from preventing that. The Shiias are just puppets of Iran.
If they all believe in THE CAUSE let them blow themselves to hell.
