Al Qaeda Coming To The Americas
More evidence al Qaeda is preparing to lash out at the West (from Spain):
This federation of armed and pro-Jihad groups, which accept Bin Laden as their leader but act independently, is attacking or preparing attacks on several fronts.
The latest surprise was by a Saudi organisation linked to Al Qaeda, as it called to target oil suppliers in Mexico, Canada and Venezuela to hinder the supply of oil into the United States. They say, and they aren’t wrong, that without oil the United States wouldn’t be able to continue with the war on Iraq.
This is the first time Al Qaeda talks about extending its operations to Latin America. Nevertheless, it has already started to act against Iran. Although it may look strange, Iranian Ayatollahs’ regime and Bin Laden’s followers are not friends. In the Iranian area of Baluchestan, at the border with Pakistan and Afghanistan, an Al Qaeda-linked group killed 11 members of Iran’s Revolutionary Guard two days ago.
In turn, Al Qaeda took root in Africa a long time ago, and it is becoming more and more active. To the training camps the group had in Sudan and Somalia, it added those in the deserted area of Mali, Niger, Algeria and Mauritania. And, a few months ago, the Salafist Group for Preaching and Combat of Algeria recognised Bin Laden as its emir, and became part of Al Qaeda’s federation.
The number of attacks has not increased in Algeria by chance. Within the last few days, several bombs went off and caused six deaths. This news is very worrying for Europe, as the Salafist Group for Preaching and Combat has had militant infiltrators in several European countries for a long time.
Will the Dems surrender Africa, South America, and Canada as well when the fighting erupts and gets a little tough? Will they call it Bush’s war because al Qaeda is making good on its claims it made public during the Clinton administration? This is a generational war – not some TV mini-series.
“Will the Dems surrender Africa, South America, and Canada as well when the fighting erupts and gets a little tough?”
Too funny. Too hubristic, AJ. I’m sending this to Mike Scheuer. When did we take deed to these properties?
Lassoo – So far, you’ve convinced me that you and your anti-war friends are a bunch of losers.
Would that be the Michael Scheuer who said Bill Clinton had 10 chances to get bin Laden, and screwed them all up?
CNN has a breaking story:
The left would/will surrender the US in a heart beat…
Zero backbone!
We are surrendering the Southwest to Mexico right now,
and will hasten the process with the Strata/Bush “defend
South America, Africa and Canada,” & offer criminals
guest worker certificates policy.
The Left: John Kerry, Jim Webb, John Murtha, Chuck Hagel . . . all decoreated war vets
The Right: George Bush & Dick Cheney, Paul Wolfowitz and Dougie feith . . . draft dodging cowards. They’ll protect America all right – with someone else’s blood.
Interesting, though , that Scott Ritter, Anthony Zinni, Richard Clarke,
Chuch Hagel, Walter Jones, Jim Webb, Ray McGovern, to name a few of this site’s favorite “enemies of America,” have all previously identified themselves as “conservatives,” and most as “conservative
Republicans.” Yet Strata and his sheep automatically designated
them as leftists as soon as they discovered they were against the war.
Of course from a conservative perspective, ill-founded warmongering is hardly a way of advancing a broad conservative agenda. Kind of has a re-bound effect with many fence-sitting
voters who will vote many an otherwise opposed liberal in to avoid among other things, losing friends and family unnecessarily.
I think I saw that movie — Eddie Murphy played Al Qaeda right??? Hilarious!
