What Is Going On In Our Schools With Bomb Threats?
What is behind the rash of bomb threats in schools across the country? There was a threat in a school in Wisconsin on Monday. There was a threat at a High School in Davenport Iowa today. There was a bomb threat in a middle school in South Amherst, Ohio today as well, the second in the last week. There were two threats at one school in North Bend Oregan over the last week. And there were three threats in a school in Tonawanda, NY over the last week. Are all these klds going crazy at the same time across the country like this?
And that is not all. There was a homeless man who left a briefcase in downtown Portland and ran off after saying there was a bomb inside today. And somoone called in a bomb threat on a Walmart store on Feb 13 in Winston County, MS. Did someone pay homeless man to do this? Are these actually tests of our response systems and procedures? Why all these bomb scares? Is this normal?
When I was in the 8th and 9th grade – that would have been 1961-1962 there was a flurry of bomb threats at our junior high school. I believe it was part of a national phenomenon, which included bombs scares on airlines, and laws got passed making bomb threats a felony.
So, I don’t know if it’s normal but its happened before; reporting is no doubt as lot better today, so if ther is a bomb scare – we hear about it.
Maybe Strata is attempting to link it to his favorite bogeyman.
