Democrats Run Scared From Fox News

Published by at 9:51 am under 2008 Elections,All General Discussions

Now this is a great bit of news to return home to – the Democrats have runaway from Fox News (I am sure they are calling it a ‘redeployment’) because they have to take hard questions and confront differing views:

Fox is not a credible news outlet and their deception needs to be stopped. Foxattacks.com will give you the information and tools you need to hit fox where it hurts. The current video presents the erroneous and slanted stories Fox recently ran about Barack Obama. In response, Obama refused to appear on Fox. Watch the video, then follow Obama’s lead and… Do Something.

Ohh, poor babies! The democrats are running away from news they cannot control throught their brain dead puppet media. And leading the retreat is John Edwards, one term Senate ‘wonder’

You may have heard by now that John Edwards was the first candidate to officially say no to the Fox News debate in Nevada — and because of the hard work of so many grassroots and netroots Democrats, news is breaking tonight that Fox is out.

Folks, face it. the Democrat Party is dead and all we have are the hysterical dead enders too afraid to face a Fox News reporter, let alone a true challenge like al Qaeda and the other Islamo Fascists out there, right now trying to kill us. It is crystal clear to everyone the Dems only skill is in the retreat. When things got tough in Texas the Dems ran out of town instead of facing the will of the voters. When things got tough in Iraq the dems have been trying for two years to runaway to Japan. And now these feckled cowards are running from news reporters. Given their track record why would any American vote these people in to protect and preserve this nation? When they pretend running from hard questions is ‘going to war’ then you know their version of ‘war’ is less confrontational than the old card game by the same name. What a hoot!

“Fox is not a credible news outlet”

That’s the money quote. A news outlet that doesn’t toe the Democrats line is now no longer “credible”. In point of fact, people watch Fox News because they don’t find other news outlets credible. The Democrats have to delegitimize anyone and anything that’s in disagreement with them. And their political efforts to do so are a threat to freedom.

The Dems are so brave. Let’s put them incharge of our nation’s security. They don’t want to talk to Fox but Iran is OK?

  3. ivehadit says:

This is another in a long line of examples of their strategy. The global socialist dems take a poll to find out what people like about one of their enemies, then they set out to attack that strength by claiming they have that strength and turning it against their enemy.

They take the words we use about them and use them on us.

They repeat the lie so (they believe) it becomes the truth. Part of the Silent Coup.

It’s odd how I used to laugh at the word “communist” being thrown around back in the ’60’s…but it’s close to what we face today..only they have gotten alot more media saavy and “hollywoodish”….which makes them much more evil.

This is indeed war. I hope my fair-minded fellow citizens will take up the call and not act like cut and run democrat narcissistic children.

I keep repeating from this article, The Pathology of Liberalism, by Joan Swirsky, but it is so magnificent in describing liberals, so here’s more:

snip/”In narcissistic personality disorder, people feel they are special and therefore entitled to the things they want at the exact moment they want them. When denied, narcissists become irrationally angry and lash out with personal attacks. ”

    and-
snip/”The reason why liberals have remained so intractably unhinged about President Bush is not because of their ideological differences with his conservatism. It is because of their collective inadequate egos. This is no surprise because children have “developing” egos, not fully-fledged senses of themselves, their places in the world, and their worth. Children are wildly egocentric, seeing themselves as the center of the universe and having no appreciation of the vast world that lies outside their limited awareness. In fact, they echo a saying from the Talmud: “We do not see things as they are; we see things as we are.”

    and lastly this Kaboom section:
snip/”A rage that knows no bounds

Children take things personally. “My father is bigger (stronger, smarter) than your father” is just about intolerable to the average child. “Is not!” “Is too!” is an exchange that inevitably results in either tears or fists. In 2000, when George W. Bush ascended to the presidency, the initial despair of liberals quickly morphed into childlike, irrational anger, which has obsessed them for the past six years.

Not only have they called names, spewed insults and stamped their feet, but they’ve also lined up like-minded friends in the liberal media and leftwing think tanks to do the same. Much worse, they’ve aligned themselves with America’s mortal enemies.

According to Vasko Kohlmayer in World Defense Review,“the affection in which [liberals] are held by our foes is neither unjustified nor surprising. They have more than earned it by systematically subverting this country’s war effort while simultaneously proffering assistance to those who have pledged to destroy us.” Kohlmayer lists some highlights of liberal treachery:

    · They have tried to prevent us from listening in on terrorists’ phone calls
    · They have sought to stop us from properly interrogating captured terrorists
    · They have tried to stop us from monitoring terrorists’ financial transactions
    · They have revealed the existence of secret national security programs
    · They have opposed vital components of the Patriot Act
    · They have sought to confer unmerited legal rights on terrorists
    · They have opposed profiling to identify the terrorists in our midst
    · They have impugned and demeaned our military
    · They have insinuated that the president is a war criminal
    · They have forced the resignation of a committed defense secretary
    · They have repeatedly tried to de-legitimize our war effort
    · They want to quit the battlefield in the midst of war.

If nothing else proves the rigidity – indeed the pathology – of the liberal brain, it is what Kohlmayer says of liberals today: “Almost all of the current democratic leadership was actively involved in [the Vietnam anti-war] effort. Bill and Hilary Clinton, John Kerry, Ted Kennedy, Howard Dean, Chuck Schumer, Dick Durbin and Nancy Pelosi were all in one way or another personally engaged in the anti-war movement. And when at last it bore its disastrous fruit, they gloated and danced in the streets. Exhilarated and jubilant, they deemed America’s disgrace their finest hour. In their skewed world, America’s defeat came to represent their personal triumph.”

IVEHADIT: Thank you for that excellent comment.

  5. upyernoz says:

Folks, face it. the Democrat Party is dead…

and yet they won the last election and are still outpolling republicans. so what does that say about the republican party?

  6. AJStrata says:

    upyernoz,

It says they Reps will have an undeserved resurgence in the near future once the Dems blow this last opportunity to lead.

  7. ivehadit says:

You’re welcome Dennisa. The whole article is magnificent and I sent it around to everyone I know. It sums it up so nicely what I have believed since clinton came into office…

The 90’s were a celebration of pathology, our lower Selves…not our Highest and Best Selves.

  8. upyernoz says:

deciding that they don’t want fox to host a primary debate is blowing an opportunity to lead?

  9. crosspatch says:

This will only serve to further polarize politics and walk the Democrat party further into irrelevance. The thing is that the Dems should WELCOME an opportunity to preach to the other choir.

First of all, there isn’t anything a news outlet can do to spin or twist a debate … it is what it is. Fox will simply be airing the comments the participants make themselves. Secondly, if a party wants to win an election, they need to draw voters from the entire spectrum. You can’t win an election by appealing to your base. The candidate that wins the center wins the election. The Democrats should be welcoming a chance to get their message out to an audience that might not otherwise get as much exposure to that message as the Dems might like.

This reaction is just plain dumb.

  10. upyernoz says:

First of all, there isn’t anything a news outlet can do to spin or twist a debate

that’s simply incorrect. everything can be spun.

and crosspatch, you seem to be assuming that because the dems pulled out the the fox news-sponsored debate there won’t be any debates. there will. they just will be broadcast on another network. most of the american public does not have any particular loyalty to fox. i don’t think “the center” cares what channel the debate is on.

  11. Mark_for_Senate says:

ABC, CBS, CNN,NBC, MSNBC are all agenda driven propaganda outlets, even to the point of using the exact same words and phrases to basically bash America and the current administration on a daily basis. FOX News has by far the largest viewing audience simply because of the clear bias of the others. The DNC was smart to choose FOX, but now have made a huge error in listening to their extremist left and all the UPYERSNOZ clones by cancelling. Once again, instead of speaking to major issues concerning our country and what they would do about any of them, they create their own issues by blaming and pointing fingers at others for non-existent follies. This has been going on for decades. It won’t be too much longer before the American people finally realize that the Dems HAVE NO IDEAS. Look for much more of this kind of behaviour as their desparation spirals out-of-control.

  12. Terrye says:

    UP:

Oh yeah there will be debates, if the crybaby Democrats like the network and eveyrone sucks up to them.

I remember when CNN got caught lying to cover for Saddam…did conservatives refuse to even do a debate on the Communist News Network as it was affectionately referred to? No, they just figured, this is the media and bias goes with the territory.

Now the Democrats are proving they cave to their moonbat fringe…not to mention they are not only attacking Fox for failing to kiss their butts, they are in a back handed kind of way attacking its viewers. Believe it or not, there are Democrats and Independents who watch Fox.

  13. ivehadit says:

    It’s not about spin.

It’s about setting up Fox as illegitimate. And about making sure none of the democrat candidates will ever have to answer one single substantive question.

The shameless, narcissistic children of the Left have politicized everything on the face of the planet. It’s part of their pathology.

Rage seeks to destroy and that is exactly what their pathological rage has done and is attemting to do to America the Beautiful.

Wake up America. Do you want the world they inhabit?

  14. upyernoz says:

ABC, CBS, CNN,NBC, MSNBC are all agenda driven propaganda outlets

i think many liberals would agree. they all have a clear conservative slant. just not as big as fox news’

FOX News has by far the largest viewing audience simply because of the clear bias of the others.

now that’s funny. i mean, fox is the only openly ideological network. all the others pretend to be “neutral”

Look for much more of this kind of behaviour as their desparation spirals out-of-control.

is it worth pointing out that this rant has absolutely nothing to do with which channel the debates are broadcast on? nah

Believe it or not, there are Democrats and Independents who watch Fox.

sure, but their audience is made up of very very few democrats. and remember, in the primary the candidates are competing for democrats votes, not independents’ (except in a handful of “open primary” states). it makes perfect sense for them to avoid a network with the smallest democratic audience during the primary season.

It’s about setting up Fox as illegitimate.

yeah, i think there is some of that. not that i disapprove, fox news is not a very good news source IMHO. but i agree with you that the campaign to not hold the primary debate there is partly motivated by an effort to de-legitimize fox. i just happen to approve of that strategy, and i would guess that you do not.

And about making sure none of the democrat candidates will ever have to answer one single substantive question.

now you’re being ridiculous. the candidates are going to distinguish themselves from everyone else. that’s what they do in a debate, no matter which network is hosting it.

remember, the democratic candidates are not running against a republican at this stage, they are running against each other. each campaign has an inventive to get their opponent answering hard questions, so there will be hard questions.

Rage seeks to destroy and that is exactly what their pathological rage has done and is attemting to do to America the Beautiful.

i dunno about you, but i don’t have a lot of rage in my life. and yet i’m a flaming liberal. perhaps you’re assuming a lot here

  15. Terrye says:

    UP:

You can write a post a mile long if you like, but refusing to appear on Fox for a debate just makes Democrats look silly, prattle on.

  16. ivehadit says:

Exactly how many substantive, unstaged questions has Hilary Clinton EVER answered?

There are none so blind as those who will not see.

  17. Terrye says:

Hey, Hillary said I don’t recall 150 times during her Whitewater testimony so I guess she could always say that.

    Sorry, Brit, I don’t recall.

  18. wiley says:

“now you’re being ridiculous. the candidates are going to distinguish themselves from everyone else. that’s what they do in a debate, no matter which network is hosting it.”
UP — you’re talking in circles. This was precisely the point CP made earlier as to the absurd objections to Fox news and the debate.

It’s quite funny but not surprising how you think MSNBC, and the others, are “neutral” or even slant right in their newscasts. You’re so far entrenched (indoctrinated?) that you seem to be in an alternative reality, which is absent logic and reason. At least you’re happy.

  19. Terrye says:

I doubt if he is happy. After all this Bushitlerland.

  20. The Macker says:

Seems reasonable to me that the Dems would choose their own networks. It’s called “seeking your own level.”
