Muslim Civil War Erupts With Chlorine Gas Attack

Published by at 9:35 am under All General Discussions,Iraq

I think al Qaeda has finally made a fatal mistake with their gas attacks today in the heartland of the Sunni insurgency. Following in the horrific footsteps of Saddam Hussein, who gassed whole villages killing thousands, the al Qaeda effort was much less effective in terms of killing people. But in terms of killing off support in the Arab/Muslim street the attacks today couldn’t not have been more effective:

The attacks were carried out between 4:11 pm (1311 GMT) and 7:13 pm Friday, two of them just south of the town of Fallujah and one northeast of the nearby city of Ramadi, both hotbeds of Al Qaeda militants.

The attacks brought the number of such bombings since January 28 in western Iraq’s Anbar province – the heartland of the insurgency – to five. Two similar dirty-bomb blasts were reported in the capital Baghdad.

A coalition of Sunni tribes from Anbar have united in opposition to Al Qaeda, sending thousands of young men to join the government security forces and cooperating with US and Iraqi commanders.

In response, the insurgents have modified their tactics, adding gas bombs to their arsenal and striking soft targets in the belt of small towns around the capital that are thus far beyond the reach of the security plan.

The Muslim street will not be supporting fanatics who are only capable of killing Muslims in large quantities. leaving the soldiers of the Great Satan basically unharmed. There will be more repurcussions against al Qaeda if they continue on this path where they are killing Muslims at a rate orders of magnitude beyond what can be laid at the feet of the coalition. And with US soldiers playing protectors, the PR facade about the evil Americans will be destroyed the image of al Qaeda is forever linked with brutal gas attacks on innocent people. Mohamed never preached these kinds of tactics. Is it any wonder Sunnis are welcoming Americans into their neighborhoods now?

Yet, many Iraqis, especially ones in predominantly Sunni Arab neighborhoods, say they welcome the Americans in their streets. Moderate Sunni Arabs say they have been targets of Shiite militias, like the Mahdi Army, and radical Sunni groups. Sunni neighborhoods in Baghdad are increasingly the scene of fighting between moderate armed Sunni Arabs and hard-line militants.

The tied is turning in our favor, and al Qaeda is making mistakes as their desparation grows.

Funded by the Kuwaiti’s, and Saudi Arabia. See if they care?

The stakes for them? They want sunni power based in Riyadh. Doesn’t even look like they’re close.

But Sadr city? To the upper crust rich arabs there’s nothing there but a roach motel.

And, don’t kid yourselves. The shi’a religion is even a worse viral epidemic than the stuff the saudi’s fund.

Does our military need Iraq? YOU. BET CHA! Best training grounds in the world to put our military through its paces. The longer the better. Because we have to clear out decades of crud that got inbedded in DC.

Though to look at Plame’s example of incompetence, you get to learn most of those hyenas just go to bed with one another. And, Plame? Did better, financially, than Monica. But at least Monica isn’t married to the turkey Joe Wilson! You can’t even count on him for the right time of day!

Congress? Last week had a bigger stink bomb than Anbar. And, so what? As long as the saudi’s think they’re in charge, nothing much will change. Though “300” has changed a lot of people’s outlook.

Bush’s main handicap? He can’t speak. Doesn’t own good tongue. We’re six years into this deficit. Get used to it.

The only seam in the tent to watch is what happens in 2008. You don’t think Guiliani can take advantage of the skunk works in politics; and get himself elected? I don’t agree. In some ways, the paths around inert political parties is to “go to the people, looking for the mainstream.” Worked for Andrew Jackson (1824, 1828, 1832). Worked for Lincoln, twice. Worked for Barry Goldwater, even though he wasn’t elected in 1964. HE OPENED THE DOORS TO THE GOP. Took the keys right out of the Rockefeller’s hands.

So, there, alone, you could learn that bankers get defeated.

And, why not remember Ronald Reagan. You thought he had the press on his side? I beg to differ.

While our troops in Iraq are on a learning curve. Similar to the stuff Israel experiences. So get used to it being for the long haul. Stop being a kid, asking if we’re there yet.

ON THE OTHER HAND? It seems General Patreaus has a handle on this. The gas attack, as noted, was not a very big success in terms of killing people. But you should be asking yourselves, how do the sunni’s claim ANBAR? When the real beast are all the poor Shi’a? Huh? Led by the nose, now with imported tapes from Iran, of their illiterate Sadr. Though it seems these dudes are proficient in “gadgets,” that deal with taping equipment. And, they’re using it in their fight.

Again, there are millions to kill to make a difference. This one event? For our own media. Who haven’t yet claimed success. (Unless you want to claim Libby’s conviction as a “success.” Which it really isn’t.)

One way we’re lucky in this country. The elites, who are imbedded communists, are only interested in taking everything they can away from most of us. But they have no military who’d shoot for them. And, their own innept behaviors have made those in hollyweird suddenly lust for the powers of “300.” Only thing is that no star would have accepted Butler’s role without unworthy re-writes. SO. NO MONEY FOR THEM!

    Money talks.

In Iraq? It buys the dopes who think they’re get “better sex” once they get to heaven. Ya know? You can’t re-train these people. We’re just going to have to live with the crap we’ve inherited from the “money people.”

The George Soros type who won’t run out of funds trying to buy American democracy, to slip into his own pocket. While in the next casino you have the bedsheets running loose.

Yup. It was once way worse. In the Pacific. During WW2. Meaning? We had the right stuff once. And, it will be back. As soon as the pendulum shifts.

After awhile, hearing about ANBAR, is on par with hearing about gang violence. You pay attention to that crap? While we’ve done lots of stuff, even in California, and DC, to NOT expose the tourists.

The media in general is doing a horrible job of govering islamist terrorism globally. I see no page 1 mention of the series of school burnings and beheadings in southern Thailand, for example.

You have to go to the foreign press to learn of this:
