Sweden Under Bomb Threat?
Update: So far nothing has been found at the nuclear plan (though the search continues) so the alert levels have been lowered somewhat. – end update
Two bits of news out of Sweden today are quite disturbing. The first is the discovery of a sizeable bomb outside a bank in central Sweden:
A bomb was discovered at 4am on Wednesday at Handelsbanken in Arboga in central Sweden. A police bomb squad arrived from Stockholm at 9am. A decision will be taken later today as to whether there is a need to evacuate houses in the immediate area.
“When the patrol took a closer look they discovered that it was primed with what we presume to be plastic explosives,” said police spokesman Per Ahlström.
“It look likes a pretty big charge, one to one and a half kilos. So there would definitely have been a major bang if their plan had succeeded” he added.
Then there is news of a bomb threat at a Swedish nuclear plant:
The Forsmark nuclear power station in eastern Sweden was evacuated on Wednesday morning after an anonymous caller said that there was a bomb at the plant, 100 kilometres north of Stockholm.
Staff at Forsmark 1 received the phone call at around 9am, according to trade union newspaper Sekotidningen’s website.
Coincidence? I doubt it.
Looks like leftist idiots at play. They do these kinds of things when they don’t get their way politically.
