Anti-War Demonstrators Booted From Pelosi’s SF Office

While people have the right to petition their representatives, clearly that doesn’t apply to anti-war demonstrators camped out in front of Pelosi’s offices on the opposite side of the country from where she will be gaveling in her party’s limp Iraq war funding Bill (tacitly supporting the surge by supporting the funds for it).

ust hours before the House is expected to vote on an Iraq funding bill, police rousted demonstrators camped outside Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s Pacific Heights residence.

Gone are the tents, tables, banners, candles and flowers. All that remained early this morning of the so-called “Camp Pelosi” was a handful of people sleeping in vehicles.

Clearly these people represented a potential media PR disaster, so someone had them removed. This is no different from Cindy Sheehan outside Bush’s ranch in Texas while he is in DC. Could you see the media harping if she was removed while Bush was in DC? LOL! The liberal Democrats are running scared and stupid. Why continue to beat on their anti-war base as they stick it to them with a full war funding Bill? That seems to be adding insult to injury. These transparent strong arm tactics to avoid some media pictures does more to illustrate the cold, caldulating, power hungry heart of the Dems in Congress than anything else.

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (KCBS/AP) — Just hours before the House is expected to vote on an Iraq funding bill, police rousted demonstrators camped outside Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s Pacific Heights residence.

Gone are the tents, tables, banners, candles and flowers. All that remained early this morning of the so-called “Camp Pelosi” was a handful of people sleeping in vehicles.

“We’re going to set up camp again tomorrow, as soon as we check with the lawyers,” said a protestor who identified himself with the group Veterans for Peace. “We’re pretty sure we’re right that they can’t just come, and they claim they had a neighbor complain.”

Most of the group has been present for a dozen or so days, opposing any additional funding for the war…

Heh, she told MoveOn to MoveOut.
