Closing In On al-Qaeda In Iraq’s Emir

Published by at 2:22 pm under All General Discussions,Iraq

Ever since The Surge began taking shape the number one impact has been the round up of a series of top al Qaeda leaders from the al Qaeda In Iraq group which is supposedly the offspring of Zaqari’s al Qaeda group coordinating the terrorist organization’s efforts. With each new leader captured the US and Iraqi forces have been climbing the organization’s structure towards the current leader al-Baghdadi. We are now one step away from ‘beheading’ the al Qaeda organization in Iraq:

In other news, coalition forces captured a senior al-Qaeda leader and two others during raid Sunday morning in Baghdad.

Coalition forces identified the man as the gatekeeper to the al-Qaeda emir of Baghdad. He has alleged ties to several senior al-Qaeda members and is reportedly linked to a number of mass casualty, vehicle-borne improvised explosive device attacks in the Baghdad area.

He was detained along with another known al-Qaeda VBIED cell leader and one other suspect.

It would seem we are decimating al-Qaeda’s organization and all of them seem to be talking to some extent, not to mention any other intel we pick up with them.

So what do you think about this article?

    http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070409/ap_on_re_mi_ea/iraq

AP is known for misleading us. Tens of thousands protested against us?

Would like someone there that actually witnessed this protest to report the actual numbers.

Supposedly, air recon photos should somewhere between 4-7 thousand. AP got their numbers from some local unnammed, unoffical “police source” as per usual. There were thousands there. Now …here’s your perspective they didn’t bother to put it in….there are only about 17 million shiahs in Iraq…most of them..loyal to Sistani.

  3. Dc says:

Sorry, make that 18 million shiahs
