Hot In France – But Not As Hot As 1950

Published by at 12:46 pm under All General Discussions,Global Warming

It seems the Global Warming trend of the last half a century has brought us BACK UP to the 1950’s levels in Europe:

France this year had its hottest April since 1950, with the average temperature four degrees Celsius higher than the usual 10 degrees (50 Fahrenheit), the national weather office said Monday.

1950 was the year reliable temperature measurements from 22 stations across France were begun.

Note the last sentence. In scientific terms it means measurements prior to 1950 across France were unreliable. That, folks, speaks volumes about the Global Warming Hype. Yes, the world is warming – but is it simply warming back up to previous levels?

To those who are not aware of Earth’s climate history the planet has seen these temperatures MILLIONS of times before and without incident. Yes, on occasions of massive upheavel and extinction we have seen similar indications – but the temperatures were in association with some other event. These levels alone do not imply mass biological destruction. In fact it is just the oppposite. Say ten times out of a million (just for argument’s sake) these temperatures were associated with a biologically destructive event. We are then talking A 10 in a million chance of this being a serious situation.

AJ, have you noticed how little traction the global warming alarmism is getting with the average person. Even the ones who pay lip service to it aren’t willing to adjust their lifestyles to “do their part to save the planet”. OTOH, I see a potentially blockbuster business in selling toilet paper credits.

I got in a heated political discussion at my sister-in-law’s birthday party earlier this month. Somehow the subject of global warming came up. My other sister-in-law and her husband are both big libs, and they went off on how we’re destroying the planet. Of course they live in a 5,000 sq. ft. house and both drive gas guzzling cars. They think nothing of flying off to Florida or the Carolinas for a weekend to play golf. So I asked if they would share with the rest of us what they were doing to lessen their “carbon footprint”, and the topic suddenly changed. The GW crowd is populated by some of the worst hypocrites on the planet.

In an interview a few months ago with The Denver Post, Colorado State University’s Bill Gray, one of the world’s preeminent hurricane experts, pretty much nailed the whole global warming argument:

“They’ve been brainwashing us for 20 years,” Gray says. “Starting with the nuclear winter and now with the global warming. This scare will also run its course. In 15-20 years, we’ll look back and see what a hoax this was.”

The problem comes in if they manage to get expensive legislation in place before that 15 to 20 years elapses. They are already attempting to head that possibility off with rhetoric such as “if we don’t act within the next decade, it will be too late!”.

Over most of the Earth’s history there has been no polar ice at all at either poll.

Yea, it’s always, the temp is averaging X, the hottest since 1948 or 1952 or sometime 50+ years ago. Libs never understand that.
As you pointed out, how did we get our CO2 up to Mars?

Most people don’t realize the atmosphere of the earth is only about .003% co2 and that’s a terribly small amount.
