Why Is Syria Building Up Their Military?
There have been numerous, consistent reports regarding Syria’s military build up and preparations (see here for my previous post). The military preparations by Syria clearly have Israel concerned, and apparently rightfully so:
But the ambassador dwelled on what he called a major buildup of Syrian missiles that could reach any part of Israel “and create major damage” and a “preparedness” along the border “that we have not seen since 1973.”
What makes this even more confusing is the fact Sec of State Condi Rice is planning high profile discussions with Syria this week. Now that Dems have lost their bid to Surrender Iraq to al Qaeda, the question becomes what will the key players in the ME do now? Everyone is fixated on DC, but the wild cards are Syria, Iran and al Qaeda. If al Qaeda is losing in Iraq then something else will need to happen to sow the seeds of doubt in DC. Or conversely, Syria may be seeing the writing on the wall as Sunnis flee al Qaeda and start attacking them. Syria is in a very awkward position. They cannot let al Qaeda triumph over Sunni Baathists. There are signs the Syrians are acting to stem the flow of support to those now fighting the Sunnis. What worries me is there is not need for missiles in the case of Syria closing down the support to al Qaeda. The time is coming for the final act in the ME…
We all knew that the Democrats lack the ability to get their bills enacted; therefore, they screwed up right from the beginning. They knew that they should never have come up with bills like theirs. Even the ones that Murtha’s considering.
I’m guessing that Condi’s meeting with Syria is because of Pelosi’s trip. To find out what Pelosi told them and to correct Pelosi? Condi may also be meeting with Iran. Also, because of Pelosi. They want to work with them; not Pelosi and her people.
If it weren’t for Pelosi, Condi would not be meeting with Syria and Iran.
Wow – since talks with Syria and Iran were part of the ISG Report and recommendations, we have here an unsolicited testimonial from Lurker that Pelosi has been more effective than Condi Rice.
No, Pelosi was NOT more effective. Condi has not even met with Syria. They’re just getting their foot into the door to tell them that the Bush adm is the ONLY one that pushes foreign policy. Not Pelosi. The Bush Adm are probably not negotiating terms with Syria and Iran since they do not agree with the ISG recommendations. And most of us do not agree either.
At least the ssorosite informs us of how/what the global socialists/communists’ minds work.
The adults (and lovers of America) led by George W. Bush vs. the six years olds…aka pathological America-haters. We finally live in an era where things couldn’t be more clear.
SS:
Pelosi did such a great job in Syria that Syria now thinks it’s OK to launch an attack against Israel. She also botched the message she got from Israel to give to Syria. She’s one of the few political jokes that the punch line isn’t Jimmy Carter.
Bush’s presidency is over. He’s a lame duck lame duck. Even Republicans aren’t paying attention to him – and the closer to the election it gets – the greater will be the distance they place between themselves and Bush the Albatross hanging around their neck.
Bush is so irrelevant he’s fallen off the TIME 100 most influential people list.
George Bush – an afterthought and a bad joke.
You wish. hehehe
The man is IN CHARGE. No matter how many times the sorosites repeat their fantasies they will not be truth. Sadly, children believe their fantasies are the truth. Keep it up. The fundraising thrives.
IVEHADIT:
Eventually kids grow out of fantasies, I wonder what the problem with the LLL is? I have yet to see a Republican turn down the President’s drawing power when it comes to fund raising.
All these dumb bills and investigations are for one reason only. To get evidence for impeachment. The dims are so childish that since the republicans impeached Clinton, they are honor bound to impeach a republican president nevermind they can’t find a legitimate reason for it. The bad thing is that they are trying to tear down the very structure of our government. They have no respect for Bush or the republicans and are playing to their liberal base who have no respect for anybody.
