Want to have fun today? Read Daily Kos (example) and Democrat Underground (example) and watch the fuming now that the Dems have caved on timelines for troop withdrawals. I can hear their wailing already…

Good! Why did these nutroots vote for the Democrats last fall when the Democrats said they would never push the “cut and run” strategy and that they support the US troops? Because they were hoping the Democrats would be pushing for immediate withdrawal? Now they know the Democrats lied to them. Wonder who they will vote in ’08? Kucinich?

Talk about your call to arouse and rally the almost sentient, unwashed masses – Democrats Back Down On Iraq Timetable – I doubt if even the editorial board of the NYTimes could have done better.

    The spittle’s sure flyin’.

So now CNN and LAT are reporting the consequences of early withdrawal of our US troops?

Earl, will the House vote on it? Kucinich definitely will not. Since the Democrats caved in, it’s up to them to convince their Democratic base to vote in favor of this bill. How will they feel about being bribed into their original votes, then forced to vote on this bill.

Bunch of whiny little p@ssies on those sites. How about this for a benchmark for withdrawl. When Iraq can stand on it’s own two feet, defend itself, and have a viable economy we will withdraw. It worked for Japan, Germany, and is working for South Korea. Why not Iraq? All the lives, time and resources we poured into those other countries and we can’t even give Iraq the time they need to keep from being eaten alive by their neighbors, and expel the terrorists who want to see democracy fail? Lame @sses.

How did we even get to this point? It’s ridiculous that the American people let the media do this.

And especially conservatives who think it’s O.K. to bash Bush at this time in history. Disgusting, imho.

The Dick Morrises of the world can talk demographics and millions of single women voting for the first time and yada yada yada, but if congressional Dems back off their cut-and-run strategy, a sizeable portion of the party base may decide to stay home and watch “American Idol” come November ’08.

Between Iraq and a hard place…

HHhmmm…according to WaPo, Pelosi and Reid are in their denial mode. Check Reihlworld site.

Well, if they do that dubious at this time in history, then I can only consider them my country’s enemy and out for their own power for power’s sake. For they will have colluded in having the global socialist/communist sorosites put into the White House.

No one can take their power away without their consent, ie they are responsible for showing up at the voting booth. No one forced them to stay home. It is their choice.
And they will have given their consent by neglect. Not acceptable.

    Yup!

Captain’s Quarters had something to say about the Time’s list. Who knows all about that man from Nigeria and ended up on this list? Not many knew this guy.

Regardless, Bush remains one of the most influential person around…next to Leiberman.

Right now Sarkozy of France is ahead of Royal.

That would be good if the outcome of the French elections prove these polls.

Perhaps I wasn’t clear. I was referring to *Dems* staying home on ’08, not Reps. Nutroots elected Dems hoping they’d cut-and-run. If the Dems back away from cut-and-run (which they appear to be doing now) nutroots will go even nuttier, claiming that Dems have sold out. Then on Nov ’08 nutroots will retaliate by boycotting the elections, thereby ceding victory to Reps.

Thanks for the clarification, Dubious! We would love that!
