The Council Has Voted
Sounds serious doesn’t it? As the newest Council Member I will need get used to this, but there were some excellent posts considered for this week’s rounds and here are the results.
The winner in the Council category was by Gates of Vienna, who explored whether England could guide itself its angry, rebellious youth away from being recruited into the terrorists’ plots. Second place went to The Glittering Eye for an excellent post comparing the long haul conflicts in US history (i.e., the Global War on Terror) to the short term wars which spanned only one or two Presidents.
I strongly suggest you look at third place, by e-Claire, on the ridiculous posturing by Mexico regarding border security.
In the non-Council category, the winner was Normblog’s entry identifying the apologists who seem incapable of blaming the purveyors of attacks, only the victims. Second place went to Vodka Pundit’s post on people not understanding Jacksonian Americans (is there any other kind?), and therefore not understanding how we respond to terror attacks as a people.
