Hillary The Socialist
You know what the problem with the Democrats is? They assume only government will do good and, if left on our own, people will hurt and undermine each other. History, of course, proves otherwise. As long as people are independent and do not hand over their life decisions to some bureacrat playing god (which bureacrats seem to do to soothe their insecurity issues), government is usually kept in check and its mob mentality and its condensed power over people is limited. But the sick socialist mindset that only government does good things is why Democrats have very few good ideas and mostly bad ones. They see the proper reaction to a terrible activity (child labor for example), where government can offset the other example of condensed power, large businesses, which have run amok and think that example should work in every aspect of life. It is a naive, simple minded approach. That is why the Democrats think charity is best pulled from us and distributed by the government – even though in this country we give more than any other society and we give to every cause imaginable.
So am I surprised Hillary came out and announced her deep socialist beliefs?
The Democratic senator said what the Bush administration touts as an ownership society really is an “on your own” society that has widened the gap between rich and poor.
“I prefer a ‘we’re all in it together’ society,” she said. “I believe our government can once again work for all Americans. It can promote the great American tradition of opportunity for all and special privileges for none.”
Government is not a panacea Hillary. Your god-complex aside, we are more than capable of doing right by ourselves and our neighors on our own. The times we fail are the times we cop-out on our responsibilities and demand others (government) do it for us. Recall the endless welfare concept pushed by the Dems? Recall lives where the only purpose was to live on the public dole? And recall the crime that spread because people gave up on education and trying to do something with themselves because of the poverty trap? That is the result of the government doing too much, people giving it too much say in their lives, allowing the excuse that the government did not give me what was due me. Shared responsibility STARTS with personal responsibility. But to liberal socialists like Hillary shared responsibility is something much more twisted and grotesque. It is personal slavery.
Ownership means taking responsibility and pride Hillary. Since you and Bill lived off the government most of your so -alled adult lives and from donations I doubt you can grasp that concept. That is why the average American workers, who own a home and put their kids through school, no more about what is right about American than you and your elitists buddies could ever grasp. They OWN their lives and the successful results they produced. You cannot share in those results Hillary. And that is the ‘special privilege’ they own and deserve – the fruits of their efforts. They earned them. And no liberal out to play god with people’s lives is going to take it awat from them
The Dems seem to be all trying to be the Hugo Chavez of the US – which made me go dig out a quote from the mid 1700’s which applies here:
“A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves money from the public treasury. From that moment on the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most money from the public treasury, with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy followed by a dictatorship.”
with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy followed by a dictatorship.â€
Hopefully that won’t happen until after I’m dead and buried.
Hillary proves she is a socialist or communist every time she opens her mouth. The left has an insidious campaign of slowly, drip by drip, drawing in people who want something for nothing into their camp. The poor fools don’t realize what they would be giving up if the left succeeded in taking over all government and other public domain. Actually, they have made an impressive start so far, with the media, the schools, the bureaucracy brainwashing the populace to the ideal of socialism. The populace just do not understand what living under socialism entails. I hope they never find out.
AJ,
Good and needed remarks.
The end of the Cold War didn’t end our need to oppose collectivism.
