Iran Pulls A Hussien, A Nuclear One
For the far left who have totally lost a grip on history – especially as it relates to our challenges with Saddam Hussein’s Iraq – we are at a similar crossroads with Iran. After 9-11 we demanded nations with a history of poor judgement and militaristic behavior to prove they were not a threat to the US. If they have WMD’s they better prove they have control of them and we better not see any ties to al Qaeda or any of its associated Islamo Terrorists organizations. Hussein failed on both counts. He could not account for weapons he claimed he had in secret and he would not get rid of people lik Zarkawi – who fled from Afghanistan for sanctuary with his group in Iraq – who ended up being al Qaeda’s top man fighting against us.
This failure of judegment left us with an untenable challenge. Saddam’s ties to terrorists was established (though nowhere near the level of Iran’s) and his WMD capabilities were battle tested – except the nukes which were exposed by one of his family on 1995. Again, Saddam was not as well armed as Iran – especially in the nuclear weapon area. Iran openly flaunts its nuclear program and its standing army of terrorists across the region. So when we see Hitleresque President Ahmedinejad say it is too late to stop Iran’s nuclear program – what he is saying is it may be too late to rely on diplomatic pressures before World War IV erupts – this time with nuclear arms.
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Tuesday that it was “too late” to stop Iran’s nuclear program and warned the U.S. and its allies not to push for new U.N. sanctions, comparing his country to a lion sitting quietly in a corner.
“We advise them not to play with the lion’s tail,” Ahmadinejad said, drawing applause from a room of reporters, Iranian officials and foreign dignitaries at a Tehran news conference.
“It is too late to stop the progress of Iran,” Ahmadinejad said. “Iran has passed the point where they wanted Iran to stop.”
We wanted Iran to stop before they created a nuclear weapon. Recent estimates claim Iran is years away, but we underestimated Saddam’s progress badly when we finally saw his program in 1995. The other problem is there may be remnants of the AQ Khan nuclear smuggling ring out there and these people may have accelerated Iran’s progress. Who knows if all of Saddam’s nuclear scientists are accounted for. All sorts of opportunities exist for Iran to become a nuclear menace.
A rabid animal, even a lion, must be put down before it kills people or infects others. My fear is we will wait until Iran actually attacks someone before we finally act. The SurrenderMedia and Surrendercrats have all but made it a requirement people die massively before we act. Just look 1t 9-11 verses the 1990’s leading up to 9-11. But is Iran heading for national martyrdom, ready to strike the great Satan? We have seen nuclear material being smuggled through Turkey, Georgia and traipsed through London, Hamburg and Moscow. We have heard promises of a massive al Qaeda attack coming, and we have seen increased chatter. And we have seen Iran mark the countdown to the end of Isreal. These are not comforting signs.
Addendum: It doesn’t help matters Iran is holding US citizens on charges of spying. Clearly they are setting up for a chess match with America.
Chess, hell. Anyone up for a Delphic Oracle pool on when the bombing starts?
He is the tale of something alright, I am just not sure it is a lion’s tale. Horse’s ass is more like it.
I doubt we will ever bomb Iran. I’m hopefull, but doubtful.
I would not put any faith in “Peace Treaties” or negotiations with any Middle Estern Country. Why? Because Islamic Law does not allow for treaties or negotiated settlements between Muslim States and Non Muslim States. All it allows for is a temporary period of up to 10 years [Hudna] only to allow Islamic Forces to gather strenght.
I hope for the best, I just do not think most people in Western Gov’ts. really know what they are dealing with.

None of this is true. Simply read Hans Blix and Scott Ritter\’s
detailed works on the subject. Ray McGovern has also cited
government final admittances on the Zarkawi non-link.
Blix said in his book Hussein was more honest than Bush, who had already decided to go to war.

I would invite readers to scrutinize the cross-section of opinions
about the state of affairs in Iraq and America’s part in it by the
graduating class of this Iraqi university.
And determine for yourself if they can be reconciled with
Strata’s justification for the war or his implied view of Iraqi
affinity for our policies and causes.
