Iran Officially At War With US And NATO

Published by at 8:16 am under All General Discussions,Iran

Well, it’s official (again): Iran is at war with the US. And Iran is providing arms and IED components to kill our people in Iraq and Afghanistan.

NATO officials say they have caught Iran red-handed, shipping heavy arms, C4 explosives and advanced roadside bombs to the Taliban for use against NATO forces, in what the officials say is a dramatic escalation of Iran’s proxy war against the United States and Great Britain.

What is the difference between ‘a war’ and ‘a proxywar’ when our people are being targetted and killed? And not just our people of course, those of our coalition partners from Europe as well. But I am not holding much hope they will respond to the news as an act of war. And I am concerned we will not respond in that manner either. It is an act of war to arm our enemies and help them kill us. And of course our intelligence community seems incapable of detecting shifts in strategy by our enemies:

Iran and the Taliban had been fierce enemies when the Taliban was in power in Afghanistan, and their apparent collaboration came as a surprise to some in the intelligence community.

Sounds like the same lame excuses people had as to why Hussein would NEVER ally with al Qaeda and help them with their future 9-11s (which was the threat, not some hard link to the actual 9-11). We have to take this seriously. Iran has 4 of our people being held hostage (most likely thanks to the same ABC News Blotter that exposed our covert operations in Iran that has this story) and they have made boasts of ending Israel’s existence. We cannot repeat the 1990’s and pretend all this is not warfare in the modern global war on terror. Denial can kill us in large numbers.

The Border Patrol just posted a link to the Senate asking everyone to stop the McCain-Kennedy Insanity Amnesty Bill.

Kennedy just said on C-Span we are not going to chase down landscapers.
Perhaps Kennedy should talk to the BP before he shoots his mouth off again. He just lost the vote of every registered Democrat that works for the BP.

I remain convinced that it is only a matter of time until the word is given to crush the Iranians. Certainly there is adequate causus belli.

Unfortunately, Mike M. Iran cannot be “crushed.” It holds the key cards to America’s pacification of and extrication from Iraq, thanks to the neocons being outwitted by Chalabi and Bush’ general
lack of planning for a prolonged insurgency as he was warned by the intelligence community which AJ derides. The Iraqi Shias would join the insurgency en masse if Bush dared attack Iran and as Strata probably even agrees, Iranian agents permeate Iraq in the contingency planning .

    Check and checkmate.

Nor would China and Russia and many other business dealers
    with Iran allow it.

    Dear Sir,

Iranian arms to our enemies is not a cassus belli.

Russian Mig’s to North Vietnam. U.S. Stingers to the Afghan resistance. Dangerous territory here and the U.S. has been very careful to not let this get out of hand.
