Well now, that’s an easy one. They’re thinking how can we manipulate the situation for maximum political gain, and blame anything bad on Bush. As my 12-year-old granddaughter likes to say, “well, duh!”

Retired…….I was being sarcastic. I’m thinking that the dems have no end game, perspective, and no facts concerning the consequences of leaving the area. They can’t care about little democratic Israel, or oil prices, or human life, or fulfilling a commitment, or a nuclear bomb in Iran’s hands. I guess I would have to ask the Dems: What are you thinking?

That it might, Kathie, but think of all the other problems that would create. The only upside to that scenario is that a whole lot of Islamofascists would end up at room temperature. BTW, I know you’re only speculating, not advocating — I’m just sayin’. It really is a @$*#%^&! mess over there, and no matter what we do, it’s not going to get appreciably better any time soon.

With Iran backing Hamas in Gaza, Hezabollah in Lebanon, Sadr and Shea’s in Iraq, Syria involved with Iran every where, why would the Dems think it is smart to leave the area? I quess if we tell Israel you are on your own, and then let the Sunni’s and Shea fight it out that will end one problem. Forget about oil!

From what I have read elsewhere, he his playing with the hope that the surge is less than a success and hopes to peel enough from the right of center to pass his measure, even if he has to introduce it multiple times.
