Humanity Becoming Immune To Alarmists
The world is getting fed up with hyperventilating on all sides of the political spectrum. An interesting case in point is people are not buying the man-made global warming ‘end of the world” theories:
ALMOST three quarters of people believe global warming is a ‘natural occurrence’ and not a result of carbon emissions, a survey claimed today.
This goes against the views of the vast majority of scientists who believe the rise in the earth’s temperatures is due to pollution.
The online study which polled nearly 4000 votes found that a staggering 71 percent of people think that the rise in air temperature happens naturally.
And 65 percent think that scientists’ catastrophic predictions if pollution isn’t curbed are ‘far fetched’.
That is because there is no vast majority of scientists who believe man is the driving force in the current warming. In fact many scientists listed in the UN’s IIPC reports are challenging the IIPC’s claims they support the IIPC’s conclusions. It seems the vast scientific consensus is as unproven as the link between man’s activities and the current warming cycle.

At some point in the future . . . admittedly remote . . . the star that is Sol will begin to convert to a Red Giant.
The Sun will become sufficiently large to engulf the current orbits of some of the solar system’s inner planets, including Earth. However, the gravitational pull of the Sun will have weakened by then due to its loss of mass, and all planets but Mercury will escape to a wider orbit. That said, Earth’s biosphere will be destroyed as the Sun gets brighter while its hydrogen supply becomes depleted. The extra solar energy will cause the oceans to evaporate to space, causing Earth’s atmosphere to become temporarily similar to that of Venus, before the atmosphere is also lost.
So – no one is getting out of here alive – unless we master interstellar space or find those Stargates.
In the meantime – the most dangeroud things any American can do is operate a motor vehicle or go to a hospital: 36,000 killed every year on the highway; 80,000 – 100,000 killed each year (AMA figures) by medical mistake.
Terrorists? On average lightning kills more each year – as do collapsing sand holes.

The Global Warming Scare is indeed a hoaxed up scare to get people to rally for government restrictions of private enterprise and to bring all economic activity under the control of central planners. Otherwise, why did these activists write up the Kyoto Treaty with paralyzing restrictions on Western economies and exempt China, India and other socialists regimes ?
Speaking from personal experience. I can attest that the Global Warming scare is just a ploy to destroy the economies of the US and other Western countries. I served on the Board of Directors of a national “Environmental” Organization from 1985 until 1991, when I discovered that these poeple didnt’ give a hoot about the environment, and that their agenda was to “Unite all disident groups and empower them to overthrow the US government.” at which time I either resigned or was kicked off the board for being a “Racists.” We had representatives from 20 other “Environmental” groups on this Board. After the “Alar in the Apples” scare was exposed as fraud, these national dissident groups decided that the Environment was the issue around which they could organize the most people because just about everyone has a big nasty or something they dont’ like going on in their area. I, and several othrs on this board were leaders of large local organizations fighting local problems that were real. Such as a woman who’s organization was fighting Tyson Foods which was dumping the effluent from their chicken processing plants directly into Arkansas Streams. In my case, I was a leader of a large local organization which opposed a commercial Hazzardous Waste landfill located directly over the aquifer from which we got our drinking water. Only about half the Board members knew the true purpose of this national Organization. We were lead to believe that it’s number. one objective was to help local groups in ligitimate environmental fights.
As background. After the Communist Revolution of the 1960’s -70’s failed, the hard core radical activists (FBI description) regrouped and hired canvassers to go door to door all over the country with qustionaires designed to identify what issues concerned people. People were sorted into groups and then invited to attend local, state , regional and national meetings, conventions, workships, etc where they could meet with people with like concerns and receive instructions on how to influence elected and appointed officials. At these meetings, care was taken to convince participants that their purpose was to solve the specifified prolem. Once organized, local groups were urged to affiliate with national umbrella groups.then National “actions” were planned, to get all affiliated groups out for demonstrations, press conferences, or other “actions” on the same day. Thus they were training local activists to support national “actions” on command.
While I was on the Board I met and had dealings with the leaders of several other National organizations. The FBI told me that the list of affiliated organization leaders looked like a “who’s who of radical activists from the 60’s peace and civil rights movements.”
I became aware of the true purpose of all these national organizations when our organization was asked to accept A $250,000 GRANT from Ted Turner’s New World Foundation, which was headed by Hillary Clinton at the time, to fund what was called “The Environmental Justice Project.” This project came already planned with a designated leader, a charismatic black man whom I remembered reading about in a news mag. when he returned to the states after attending the Patrice Lumumba U. in Moscow ,during the cold war. The purpose of this project was to send this professional agitator down into East Los Angeles and “Unite those warring gangs and focus their attention on their common enemies instead of each other. ” Once this was done, he was to train local grass roots activists on how to organize local actions to support these “people of color” when they got out into the streets to demand whatever sort of Justice they were demanding. These local activists were to be recruited from all over the country and flown to Los Angeles with New World Foundation’s grant money. This professional agitator went to LA in Nov. 1991, The LA “Rodney King” riots took place in March 1992. Later that same year, the leaders of all the big city gangs were flown in for a meeting in the Midwest. Shortly afterward, satellite gangs (crypts, bloods etc.) starting showing up in all the nations schools.
Around 1990, it was decided that the Environment was the issue around which these malcontents could rally the most people. Since then, they have pseudo scientists issue catastrophic reports. Some of these “scientific” reports are written by people with Phd’s in Psychology, Religion, and subjects other than science. As one national leader once told me, “I can bull shit anybody about anything.” And apparently they all can.
Since our colleges are overwhelmingly staffed with the products of the the 60’s Revolution, most college graduates are taught that these faked up science reports are real.
While we are on the subject of faked up text books. The people who run the South West Organizing Project (SWOP), who claim to represent militant American Indians and Chicanos, brag that they wrote the state and national history text books used in California and the southwestern states ,which portrays the “true account of how American settlers, raped, robbed, genocided and otherwise abused and stole the Southwest from Mexico.” SWOP runs local arts and crafts competitions and other children’s activities as a cover for their militant agenda. and to qualify for Federal Grant money.
I believe that the masked spokesperson for the Chiapas Indians, seen on national TV, when the Chiapas staged their Communist rebellion several years ago was a member of SWOP. This spokesperson spoke perfect English. The Rep. of SWOP who was on our Boad of Directors was so angry that he snarled when he spoke. He hated the US, and anyone who supported it. Yet these people are the authors of the text book used in our public schools.
I can attest that Global Warming is a fraud, the same as the Alar in the apples scare. Before they settled on the environment as their rallying cause, One blowhard bragged, “If you think what we did to the apples was bad, Just wait until you see what we are going to to to the tomatoes.” Apparently the expose of the Alar scare as a fraud, deterred them from issuing their tomato report.

Everything looks like a nail to a hammer. And, everything looks like “amnesty” to others.
The world may be sick of global warming but that is not stopping the proponents of this farce. Every where you turn there is something about green, organic or gases polluting the atmosphere by man. The left is pushing this and they will not stop just because the majority of the country do not believe in it. Even Sam’s Club and Wallmart are on the bandwagon. They both have big signs about how to save the planet from man’s selfishness. But that is what happens when the left control the media even down to the ladies magazines. They can put out their issue de jour with no opposition from the majority.

See, here you’re totally right… and because you’re not talking about immigration, where you’re highly emotional even to the point of taking a day off work, you’re reasonable.
Obviously, you should advocate your position on immigration… but if you do this while insulting all those who disagree with you as morons, perhaps, if you’re as intelligent and knowledgeable as you like to present yourself, this shouldn’t come as a surprise?

Now yes, on this post, I took that survey as great news and good point about the “consensus” of scientists.
