A Modern John Kerry In Iraq Lies To America
John Kerry is as much a hero of Vietnam as Benedict Arnold is to our War of Independence from England. The difference is Kerry tried to use smears and lies about our troops to defeat his country. Well now we have a modern John Kerry out to do the same thing – one Pvt Scott Allen Beauchamp:
Cross: In the course of my investigation, I did not interview anyone who corroborated PVT Beauchamp’s claims in “Shock Troops†that a Soldier was observed wearing skull parts recovered from a “Saddam-era dumping ground†on his head, dogs were being deliberately hit by Bradley Fighting Vehicles, and that a disfigured woman was openly mocked by Soldiers in the FOB Falcon dining facility.

Cross: Many Soldiers were upset about how the Soldiers in the article were portrayed as callous and uncaring. These characteristics do not reflect the professionalism and integrity of the Vanguard battalion and the high standards of conduct demanded by the Dagger Brigade’s leadership.
The jerk lied through his teeth about men who would have risked their lives to save his sorry ass on the field of battle. I have a very close friend who personally knows John O’Neill of the Swift Boat Vets and all that he and his family have been through, trying to get the truth out. John O’Neill is an honorable man. Can’t say the same for a certain senator….
IVEHADIT: here is a very basic FACT: despite all his lies, and fraud and deceit and treason, John Kerry threatened with great indignation, when “outted” by John O’Neill, that he WOULD SUE, like all lying hypocritical Leftist Nutbags, he would SUE John O’Neill, and that he would sign his form, releasing his Military Record to the public.
Funny thing, he never not only signed the form, and released the full Record Publically; but he quitely let lapse, last month I believe it was, the Statute of Limitations on his “right” to sue John O’Neill and the Swift Boat Vets!
Interesting, for a guy who has shouted from the rafters, that all that was said about him was LIES, and that he would prove it in court!

My brother-in-law did two tours in Vietnam. He would spit in Kerry’s face if he had the chance. He firmly believes Kerry is a traitor. After watching the actions of most of the Dems this year, Kerry is in the political party that suits him well.

Army, Navy Air Force, and of course Marines.
From Medal of Honor recipients, to Purple Hearts and Achievement Medals with Combat V’s.
Not one, Not ONE, ever forgot to bring up John Kerry and Jane Fonda, not one!

I served with Navy Captain’s, who had Navy Cross Medals Silver Stars and Bronze Stars as well as Purple Hearts, when I was in the Arabian Gulf in ’88, fighting the Iranians during the Ernest Will Operation; they have been in small boats during Vietnam; you should have heard what they had to say about Kerry; his name ALWAYS came up; and it was ALWAYS accompanied wby “F*&(ker” or “Bastard”!

One of his own Leftist Media supporters would admit, decades later, that it was an open secret among them, that Kerry would mysteriously show up, every time a camera was present, and give his Anti-American rants, and I’m down here living on the Mall with my fellow ex-Vets; and as soon as the camera was off, he’d slink away to a waiting Taxicab, duck down in the back, and speed off to a very posh and upscale townhouse in Georgetown, owned by a friend of his, and to sleep, hang out, and eat caviar while they made fun of the “little” people having to camp out on the Mall and go to the bathroom in the bushes!

Another direction — I guess I get your main point here. Only problem is this. Arnold was quite a good general, and before he “went bad” was essential to some key victories. (This includes some examples of true valor and brilliant leadership … and my personal favorite forgotten episode — the Battle of Valcour Island on Lake Champlain in October 1776, which was not a victory per se, but held the British at bay long enough to delay their major New York offensive till the following year, by which point we were prepared to take them on at Saratoga, where Arnold’s generalship was again brilliant and a critical contribution.)
So, BEFORE Kerry turned on the American soldier, what exactly were his great and daring accomplishments??
Dale, I got in the middle of a John Kerry medal topic at another site. The left-winger claimed that the US military signed John Kerry’s applications for his own medals. He believed that I questioned the process; therefore, I made the US military and those medals look really bad.
So why did those officers sign Kerry’s applications?
I understand that Kerry’s first application was initially rejected but later signed rather quickly. Did they want him out as quickly as possible?
Two Vietnam Vets said that if one of theirs already had a Purple Heart or two or three, they want those out of the war as quickly as possible. They also said they would not want to fight next to those multi-Purple Hearters. They wouldn’t feel safe next to them. And that they would prefer NOT getting a Purple Heart. One of them was a commander or something and handed out many. This guy knew that guy caught in the middle of the Mai Lai controversy, btw.

That was my point. Arnold also believed he was doing the best for the country – except he was really just a traitor. What rationalizations one plants in their mind to commit a crime is irrelevant to whether a crime was committed.

Lembcke’s definition of “convincingly documented” required that there either be police charges brought against the spitter (which wasn’t going to happen, as the victim was in transit from Vietnam to home, and did not have time to file a misdemeanor assault charge or to appear for trial later), or (b) charges against the victim of the spitting for beating the spitter. The latter wasn’t going to happen, because (a) the military, unlike the counterculture movement, builds self-discipline and restraint, and (b) nobody wanted to go onto legal hold or to get sent to the Castle at Fort Leavenworth or to Portsmouth Naval Prison with a felony record over some asshole spitting on them).
Also, prior to the information revolution, reports pertaining to misdemeanor offenses were routinely destroyed, as no police aagency could afford the archive space to store that much paper.
First-person accounts were not considered credible by Lembcke. I heard several of them during my time in the Marine Corps. I find those reports a great deal more credible than I find you.
