al Qaeda’s Self Destruction In Iraq Is About Complete
I have been posting for over 9 months al-Qaeda’s days were numbered because it had turned on the Iraqis, and their brutality and violence would chase Iraq into our sphere and create a massive backlash against them. The more they lost their grip on Iraq due to their violent, Islam Fascist nature – I predicted – the more they would hasten their demise and our success in Iraq. This was going to be a death spiral for al Qaeda nothing could stop. Not the liberal SurrenderMedia nor the Surrendercrats in Congress. Once the Muslim street rose up in mass against al-Qaeda it would be only a matter of time when their atrocities and crimes against humanity would tip this scales for good.
Well, when the Wall Street Journal starts making the same observations it is time to claim some potential vindication:

The latest chapter in al Qaeda’s war manual in their war against the Iraqi people and the Coalition is this: raiding remote peaceful villages, burning down homes and slaughtering both man and beast. It’s a campaign of self destruction.
For about a year al Qaeda has been trying to build a so called Islamic State in Iraq. On several occasions al Qaeda has even declared parts of Baghdad or other places in other provinces the capital of this Islamic State.
But now that they are losing one base after another, their objective seems to have changed from adding more towns and villages to the “state” to destroying the very same towns and villages. Obviously, it’s all about making headlines regardless of the means to do that.
I noted in this post (among many others) the symbiotic nightmare al Qaeda had with the Western liberal media and the Surrendercrats in Congress. The liberal media and pols in this country needed blood running in the streets of Iraq if they ever hoped to convince America of the futility of success in Iraq. The need for blood and bodies drove al-Qaeda to create ever more gruesome and deadly attacks in order to feed the media’s storyline. This circular reinforcement of blood and media images created a sick dance of death for allies opposed to one George W Bush. It was sickening example of why politics must not invade foreign policy or national defense. A lesson I pray the left learns before too many more need to die to feed their media PR machine.
Everytime there was a major vote in Congress against the war al Qaeda obliged through massive attacks and bloody carnage. Wherein in the media obliged with wall-to-wall coverage as if this was all that was happening in Iraq. This allowed the Surrendercrats in Congress to wring their hands and cluck out their Chicken Little doom and gloom predictions on TV and in media reporting. What ended up happening is a cycle of symbiotic opportunism which led to escalating rounds of death and destruction for Muslims in Iraq. The US forces in Iraq were unreachable, so al Qaeda decided Mulsim bodies would do in a pinch for national TV headlines.
It is not hard to see how, as I have stated before, the Pols in the US and West opposed to the war trained al Qaeda and the Islamo Fascists to produce carnage and blood for them. It was almost Pavlovian in its creation. Ring hands, schedule vote, wait for bloody images, hold vote. Repeat. This is actually the natural law of supply and demand. It was most beneficial to the left and al Qaeda to leverage each other and try and create a loss, so they could win. When pols do not heed the advice of letting politics end at our borders this is what you get. When we allow outside forces to create wedges, or emphasize differences, then allow them to use any means at their disposal – no matter the cruelty and inhumane acts these outsiders deem necessary.
I found a great indicator of progress. The blog “Iraq The Model” made a posting today that his blogging will be very light. Not because of violence or a lack of electricity or bad internet connectivity … but because he is engaged in an intense course of graduate level studies. I don’t think most people would imagine that there would be people engaged in study at this level judging from the news reporting.

“This is a new type of terror that Basra is not familiar with,†he said. “These gangs represent only themselves, and they are far outside religious, forgiving instructions of Islam.â€
Often, he said, the “crime†is no more than wearing Western clothes or not wearing a head scarf.
