Congrats To Jawa Report For Nabbing AP-Embedded Terrorist Propaganda Agent

Bumped – update below

The SurrenderMedia sees what it wants to see. It sees profits and it sees liberal political dominance. And anything that supports those two visions is all some care about – that is the essence of their ‘journalism’.

Well blogs have a different standard. And so it was probably not hard for the good folks at Jawa Report (and Michelle Malkin) to note that one AP stringer photographer was getting incredible pictures of al-Qaeda terrorists in Iraq. So close it was clear he was probably a terrorist propagandist.

It seems the coverage at Jawa Report on this terrorist sympathizer allowed some folks in Iraq to recognize him in a group of terrorists rounded up and pull him aside for special investigation. The Jawa Report helped nab a bad guy who had infiltrated the SurrenderMedia to help them make the case America should give up on Iraq. Congrats to the Jawa Report for making a difference in this war on Terror!

Update: Yep, the charges are for being a “terrorist media operative”.

We believe Bilal Hussein was a terrorist media operative who infiltrated the AP,” he said. “MNF-I possesses convincing and irrefutable evidence that Bilal Hussein is a threat to security and stability as a link to insurgent activity.”

Morrell said an investigative hearing into the case by the court is scheduled to begin on or after November 28.

Hussein was detained April 12, 2006 after marines entered his house in Ramadi to establish a temporary observation post and found bomb-making materials, insurgent propaganda and a surveillance photograph of a US military installation.

Wonder what AP will say now that they have been caught red handed aiding the enemy? Well, they say he has rights to help kill Americans and Iraqis:

“While we are hopeful that there could be some resolution to Bilal Hussein’s long detention, we have grave concerns that his rights under the law continue to be ignored and even abused,” AP President and CEO Tom Curley said in a statement.

Iraqi justice will take care of this terrorist sympathizer who made a living taking photographs of the killers of Iraqi Muslims and their victims.

I was just thinking how stories like these would have been all over the press in WWII…which reminded me how the intellectual dishonesty of the media, a boundary violation, is causing Americans to be enraged (the healthy response).

Americans are being abused by those who desire power over truth. They drip, drip, drip us with stories that are intended to get us to dislike America, to be ashamed of America.

It is intellectual dishonesty and it is abuse.

And we aren’t gonna take it anymore!

If only we were better at getting the ones that are in this Country.
    http://www.jihadwatch.org
has a lot of articles of interest today. They post one from Investers Business Daily called “The Terrorist Amoung us”.
And a lot on Nada Nadim Prouty, which isn’t getting the kind of coverage it should. But Jihad Watch has a bunch on her.

    And this:

Tucson TV Station Broadcasts Arizona Fort Huachuca Terror Threat Report
Iraqis crossing from Mexico. Oh, that hysterical Tancredo.

From the National Terror Alert Response Center (thanks to all who sent this in):

KOLD News 13 Tucson is currently running a special report focused on a urgent FBI report outlining a possible terrorist threat in southern Arizona. It speaks specifically to Fort Huachuca in Sierra Vista.
The document gives no timetable or explanation of how the threat will be carried out.

But it does say, “a group of Iraqis may have entered the United States through tunnels from Mexico into Arizona,” and those same “Iraqis are believed to be the ones who will perpetrate the attack on Fort Huachuca.

    Read it all.

Tancredo is a hero over there.

And over at “The Corner” they had this:

    Jihad Jane [Mark Krikorian]

The story of the Hezbollah mole in the FBI and CIA is starting to get some traction, with pieces today by Debbie Schlussel, Robert Spencer, and Joel Mowbray. Before even asking about how both the CIA and FBI background checks could have missed so many obvious red flags about this spy, it’s clear that our insouciant attitude toward illegal immigration and immigration fraud is what made this penetration possible — she was a visa-overstaying illegal alien who then entered into a transparently fake marriage to launder her status here, and no one noticed.

    Mowbray asks:

So why are the Feds downplaying the case? And why is much of the mainstream media playing along? Most important, why is she going to do less jail time than many petty thieves?

The reason is that everyone (even Joel) is in thrall to the same FALSE notion, expressed most succinctly by a spokeswoman for the National Council of La Raza after 9/11: “There’s no relationship between immigration and terrorism.” In other words, let’s just let in the good Mexican illegal aliens but keep out the bad Arab illegal aliens. But until we realize that, under modern conditions, national security is impossible without comprehensive immigration control, we’re going to keep seeing stories like Jihad Jane over and over again. She is, in the words of the Tancredo ad everyone felt superior in pooh-poohing, “The price we pay for spineless politicians who refuse to defend our borders against those who come to kill.”

Ya know, sometimes we know who people are and we use them to lead us places we might not have been able to penetrate…

We posted on this at Pal2Pal as well. I saw it yesterday morning on breitbart news service.

    steve:

How can you say Tancredo is a hero when he said the President of the United States is part of a conspiracy to do away with the United States? How is that any different from the Truthers? He also said that anyone who even thought about supporting the Dream Act should be arrested. I am not a big fan of the Dream Act but military recruiters supported the provision allowing for certain young people to earn citizenship through service. I guess that means Tancredo thinks that the military recruiters should be arrested.

Now this post is about some AP photographer who is being accused of working with the enemy in Iraq, it is not about Tancredo. I know I am sick of hearing about the man.

  7. Terrye says:

BTW, Tancredo is not only hysterical, he is a demagogue and he has not done anywhere near as much to protect this country as George Bush has.

  8. WWS says:

As Steve said, I followed the link to the Tucson station’s report and read it. The part that jumped out at me, with regard to the original report which sparked this story, was this:

“One former Congressman, who asked not to be identified for this report, said the document seems “dubious” and “without merit.” Not only that, it’s dated May 14th, 2007.

    That was six months ago.

And Fort Huachuca hasn’t seen an attack yet.”

So Iraqi’s have been hiding out in the Arizona desert for over 6 months now? What are they waiting for, Thanksgiving? Christmas? New Years? .

This “Iraqi’s attacking Fort Huachuca!” story is every bit as credible as the Roswell flying saucer story. ( oh sorry, left and right wing truthers, I know you absolutely believe that our government is in contact with space aliens and conspires to hide that from us. ) Insert “space aliens” for “a group of Iraqi’s” and you have the Roswell story all over again. It’s the standard nonsense punctuated with the claim: “You can’t prove it’s NOT TRUE!!!”

Ft. Huachuca (yes, I’ve been there) is probably the most difficult to attack military installation in the entire United States. Sits across a mountain range in the middle of the desert, no population nearby, sensors and defense zones everywhere. An entire division of Russian spetznatz troops couldn’t crack that thing, much less a handful of stragglers wandering across the sonoran desert. By the way, that’s the desert where anyone without a lot of water dies within a couple of days if they’re on foot.

And yes, I know the report will say “but the FBI is investigating it!” The FBI was forced to investigate flying saucer tales too. After 9/11, any potential threat has to be investigated, no matter how ridiculous.

But there is NOT going to be any attack there. (Yes, cue up the line, “you can’t prove it won’t happen!!!” Just like I can’t prove an undetected asteroid won’t destroy the earth tomorrow, even though I know it won’t.)

Tancredo and his followers are the right wing version of the “Truthers” and in almost every respect are just as bad. In that light, it’s not so surprising to see a right wing nut like Paul catering to the left wing truther nuts, since with just a few ideological tweeks they’re the same thing as his regular crowd. After years of trying to figure out both extremes, I’ve come to the conclusion that people who simply have an inability to think logically fall into either one of those camps, depending on which way their family and friends push them. So personally, I try to have as little to do with them as possible.
