Dems Really Do Want To Reverse Course In Iraq, They Want To Lose

Published by at 11:22 am under All General Discussions,Iraq

OK, I did not think the Surrendercrats in Congress were so self-destructive and stupid they would go all out and try and reverse all the progress in Iraq. I was wrong. They are that stupid. If we withdraw al-Qaeda will try and regain a modicum of success from their butt whooping they have received. As the story points out the only thing an announced withdrawal provides is hope for al-Qaeda:

“Timetables for withdrawal, efforts to hamstring our generals and attempts to cut off funding for our troops failed when Congress tried them earlier this year, and they will fail again,” House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) said.

“By undermining our troops’ progress in this way, Congress risks having al Qaeda stand back up,” Boehner added.

Their path to the dark side is complete. Instead of facing up to their mistakes and errors, the Surrendercrats plan to delude themselves into thinking surrendering to al-Qaeda will be a blow to Bush. How pathetic. Folks, this is OVER. There is no way to tarnish Bush by screwing up Iraq. Bush is on record for continuing on to victory. He has the high ground. Playing politics with out troops’ resources, risking a revival of al-Qaeda, giving hope to suicide bombers that it only requires a few more massacres and the Dems will finally win, all these tactics will not dent Bush’s successes in Iraq.

Look at this story in the BBC and understand its implications:

Have you noticed it too? It dawned on me some time last week. Something is missing from the front pages of my newspapers and the headlines of our TV bulletins.

here was a picture that was so common and had become such an ingrained part of my electronic wallpaper that I almost stopped noticing it, until I noticed its absence.

I’m talking about the murder and mayhem of Iraq. It has stopped being big news not because it has stopped being interesting, but because it has stopped happening to the same extent.

All the indicators for violence are down.

Compared to the beginning of the year, attacks against Iraqi civilians have declined by 55% in the country as a whole and by 75% in Baghdad, according to US military figures confirmed by the UN.

And note this news as well, this is the picture of Iraq today and for the foreseeable future.

From next week buses will be shuttling between the Syrian capital Damascus and Baghdad, to take refugees back to Iraq. The number of returning visitors, according to official figures from Syria and Iraq, is between 500 and 1000 people a day. Tight visa and residence regulations of the Syrian authorities are behind this, but a noticeable improvement in the Baghdad security situation is another major reason for the refugees’ return. The Iraqi government has said it will cover all the costs of Iraqi refugees who want to come home.

This is not a bad thing! These are not problems. Success is not something to run away from! What in the world are you folks thinking? Why risk all we have gained in blood and treasure now?

Petraeus was right the Surge worked. Everyone can see it. Those out to “betray us” are the fanatics on the far left who want to REVERSE things in Iraq. The record is clear. There is no Vietnam coming (just like there are no Nixons running the NSA – duh!). There is no quagmire. Success is at hand. And anyone who messes with that success will get the blame! Surrendercrats are so blinded by their frustration at their own impotence they don’t even realize they face the same dilemma as al-Qaeda.

Any actions which destroy the path to success – including delusional babble about pending defeat which can now only be seen as aiding the enemy and giving them hope – will stick to those opposing Bush! He has the success. If he fails it is will not be his fault but the fault of those who stopped him. This is over. Stop digging your political graves deeper liberals. I would usually cheer you on except in this case the hope you give al-Qaeda in still trying to lose Iraq is only resulting in continuing the bombings and the deaths. Every time you come out and try and stick it to Bush your efforts are rewarded by bombs and blood in Iraq as your political allies in al-Qaeda try an reinforce your message.

We all see the pattern now. You whine and posture and people die in Iraq. The deaths in Iraq are now being laid at the feet of the real culprits: al-Qaeda and its allies in the liberal far left. Stop now before the damage and deaths get out of hand.

  1. Hows that vacation going for you NOW Democrats?…

Be polite, be courteous and let them know they will not be reelected if they do not start supporting our troops with their actions instead of mouthing the words then turning around and stabbing them in the back….

Even though the dem’s haven’t noticed, average people have, and there’s still a year to go till the election! They’ve tied their fates to a sinking anchor – well that’s what happens when all you have is hatred and no core principles left.

  3. MerlinOS2 says:

They are simply pandering to the most extreme of the extreme left and the out of Iraq now/ code pink caucus and will at the right time read the tea leaves (poll numbers) just in time to pull their private parts out of the blender and re cast history to show just how right they were all along.

And their brain trust fund on the left will buy it since they have put their brains on ice for a rainy day.

I wonder why they are pushing this now, if they really believe it is a good idea to pull out all the troops, why not make that a campaign promise for 08 rather than pushing it now?

I think it is finally clear that the Dems are not antiwar, they are on the other side. the real problem is with the electorate who are unaware of the Dems views.

I would LOVE to produce some TV commercials for the Republican party over this. Have video of GI’s greeting Iraqis with smiles and handshakes … pictures of crowded markets and people smiling … people returning home in Baghdad and other towns … GI’s coming home smiling to their families … while text scrolls across the screen with the words of Democrat politicians about how we can’t win.

Show images of us winning, superimposed over their words that we can’t win … or cut to bits of their speeches where they say it is lost … and show graphics of the drop in casualties, the drop in violence..

    Here is the key:

Americans live their military more than they love any other institution. Americans do not take kindly to people who disrespect their military and say they can’t do something or call them losers. Show the Democrats calling our forces losers and our cause hopeless superimposed on REAL IMAGES of just the opposite … and the Democrats don’t stand a chance in hell.

  7. crosspatch says:

Show Yon’s video of raising that cross at that church in Baghdad and have superimposed over that Murtha’s voice saying “It can’t be won …”

That will be enough to render the Democrats toast in the national elections.

I found this at “Freerepublic” Thought it was very interesting. Iraq may well be the shining light of the Middle East. Happy Thanksgiving.

BAGHDAD (Reuters) – More than 300,000 Iraqis including 600 Shi’ite tribal leaders have signed a petition accusing Iran of sowing “disorder” in southern Iraq, a group of sheikhs involved in the campaign said. The sheikhs showed Reuters two thick bundles of notes which contained original signatures. The sheikhs said more than 300,000 people had signed the pages. Such a public and organized display of animosity toward neighboring Shi’ite Iran is rare in Iraq. Iranian influence has grown steadily, especially in the predominantly Shi’ite south, since the U.S.-led invasion toppled Saddam Hussein in 2003.

    W. played dumb long enough for the anti-american, alqeada backing dems and mainstream media to show us their real colors (Yellow and White). All the while beating the tar out of them at most every turn.

Now they have given us a wealth of material to use in their own words as to who and what they really are. We should be able to win in 08, but watch the illegal voters in all precints. They don’t need dead people to vote anymore not when they have felons and illegal aleins. Emboldened by the fact nothing was done by DOJ in 06 they will pull out all the stops on counterfiet voters and scream disenfranchisement at ever attempt to put some accountablity into the system.

God Bless Our Troops Their Families and Freedom Lovers World Wide on this greatest of American Holidays. Happy Thanksgiving!
