Divided Dems Heading For Crack-Up III

Obama’s stunning wins over Hillary Saturday were impressive in vote margin, but marginal in terms of how little he was able to gain:

While Mr. Obama had been expected to win the contests on Saturday, the margin of victories were surprising, particularly in Washington, a predominately white state where he captured 57 percent of the vote in caucus voting compared to Mrs. Clinton’s 31 percent. And in Nebraska, which also held caucuses, he received an impressive 68 percent of the vote to Mrs. Clinton’s 32 percent.

In the Lousiana primary, Mr. Obama received 57 percent of the vote to Mrs. Clinton’s 36 percent.

All these big wins have resulted in only a small shrinkage of Hillary’s lead. So it looks like the expectations for Obama followers will grow more and more, but the Clinton’s are by no means done fighting. In the Chesapeake primaries on Tuesday I would expect to see the dirt start flying.

I have to be careful here because I would prefer Hillary to win because I know she is easier to beat. The country is not interested in Bush-Clinton-Bush-Clinton quarter century. With that said I still think she pulls in a marginal win in the end with the Super Delegates – which will splinter the dem party.

How many more delegates left between now and convention?

I’m really hoping Hillary will win this one.

If Barack ends up winning this, then McCain should consider JC Watts or Michael Steele as his VP.

A black woman would be good but Condi does not qualify.

I live in Virginia. McCain has done a robocall (which was effective); and Huckabee is running his “Christian Leader” ad (Ugh). McCain/Obama most likely to win this state. I’m still debating whether to vote for McCain (to secure more support) or Hillary (to try to beat Obama).

AJ did point out something that I had not thought about. The media hype about Obama really does raise expectations of his supporters. They think he is unstoppable. All heck will break lose if he doesn’t win. I even wonder if they will be satisfied if he is only the VP? How can the “Savior of the people” who will “save the world” be able to do that if he is under Hillary’s thumb in the White House?

I am amazed at the way Obama has been able to stay above the fray. All these lofty sentiments and not one real issue in his campaign. Just him walking on water.
