Divided Dems Heading For Crack-Up IV

Published by at 11:12 am under 2008 Elections,All General Discussions

The Democrat’s potential crack-up at their convention is real and has a lot of people concerned. Here is a brief round up of the dire situation facing a fading Clinton effort, who will do anything to hold onto power.

First up, liberal loose cannon Frank Rich goes after the Clintons and some of their more unsavory efforts to control the party.

Second up, a former Gore political consultant tells Super Delegates to back off and let the people speak – which it is of course way too late for that to happen.

Third up, is an AP story that outlines just the opposite reality show casing Hillary’s strength among the ‘insiders’, a.k.a. Super Delegates.

Fourth, is an article that covers how the excitement of this year’s Democrat primary could turn into bitter disillusion as the party machine takes the decision out of the hands of the voters.

And finally, The Nation has an article on proposals by the Clinton’s to reinstate the MI and FL delegates that would, of course, benefit Hillary. The theme: Clinton’s stealing the nomination process.

Make no mistake about it. When it comes to winning power the Clintons have no boundaries of acceptable behavior and they do not care what it does to the party. Just recall Bill’s affect on the party when he was President – the GOP ascended into control for the first time in decades.

I t hink there will be a huge unrest among a large portion of the Dem base if Obama loses to Hillary.

I think there will be a huge unrest among a large portion of the Dem base if Obama loses to McCain.

I’d rather the unrest be against the DNC than McCain. Go Hillary!!!!

Gosh, I love political humor more than I love politics. This is so funny:

Michael Barone has a piece up reminding us that Puerto Rico has yet weigh in. Don’t snicker: they have 63 Democrat delegates, which is more than Georgia, Connecticut, South Carolina, and a few other states. Since the Latino vote seems to tilt Hillary, that might mean something in a dead heat.

    If anyone’s interested:

I think there will be unrest no matter who wins. The Clintons have real support in the party, it is not just insider stuff. There are a lot of older Democrats who do not feel comfortable with Obama.

I have been noticing the Barack Hussein phenomenon for a
while and realizing we are seeing something beyond rational.
I think you are wrong, AJ, if you analyze it as a rejection
of partisan politics. I think it is way beyond that.
I’ll regard it as a trans-rational event. Something that
even the participants do not understand in what they are caught up.
I called it the rise of the charismatic demagogue – or the guru.
But others are beginning to see it too:

    Is Barack Obama the Messiah?

“… a light will shine through that window, a beam of light will come down upon you, you will experience an epiphany … and you will suddenly realize that you must go to the polls and vote for Obama”
    – Barack Obama Lebanon, New Hampshire.

This is going to end very badly. Either Barack will lose the election
and these fanatic followers will meet the depths of Kool-Aid
despair, or Barack will be elected and these followers will meet
the depths of Kool-Aid despair, as Barack will be unable to
actually deliver the ecstasy that the followers think he has
    promised to them.
