Iran Heading For Trouble
In a previous post I predicted Iran was heading for a military confrontation with the US – and another coalition of the willing. Today the US Government is attempting to make it clear to Iran this is serious. But like Saddam before them, they seem to think we would never take pro-active steps to defend ourselves from terrorists with WMDs.
President Bush said on Israeli television he could consider using force as a last resort to press Iran to give up its nuclear programme.
“All options are on the table,” Bush, speaking at his ranch in Crawford, Texas, said in the interview broadcast on Saturday.
Asked if that included the use of force, Bush replied: “As I say, all options are on the table. The use of force is the last option for any president and you know, we’ve used force in the recent past to secure our country.”
Iran angered the European Union and the United States by resuming uranium conversion at the Isfahan plant last Monday after rejecting an EU offer of political and economic incentives in return for giving up its nuclear programme.
Bush has also clearly said Iran will not become a nuclear power. All you need to realize is that Iran is one of the last two nation-states supporting Islamo Fascists (the other being Syria) and with nuclear capability they could be producing suitcase bombs for their jihadist brothers.
It is easier to bomb the nuclear facilities and take a lot of griping from a world bent on griping anyway than let this genie out of the bottle.
Academic Elephant has detected an indicator that the US is serious about Iran this fall – must read. Mullah’s – are you paying attention?
AJ: Just another small piece of evidence from our world.

I agree that they’re trying to control the bombing campaign–and to cover their backs so you don’t get the same sanctimonious moral outrage that followed the phantom “looting” in Iraq.
