Been Really Sick, But Not Dead Yet!

Published by at 7:35 pm under All General Discussions

Finally got bitten by that damn cold/flu going around. Nailed me good – but not before I got to trade out of my mini van I have been driving for almost a decade and into some sportier digs. My new toys (actual colors and years – can click through images to articles):

LJStrata calls it my mid-life crisis, but how is being able to afford these a crisis? Both are used and together are around 70% of the price of a new Mustang GT convertible – which was one of the options I was looking at. I won’t be missing the mini van, trust me. Now if I can only get better. Going back to bed now.

    AJ,
If the illness doesn’t kill you that bike sure will, geesh!

    Hope you feel better soon!

I love the Sebring convertible, almost got one myself! I think that’s the best looking (affordable) convertible that’s come out this decade.

Like I said, *almost* got one. Went for the Dodge hemi-charger instead. 😉

Get well soon. Flu is dangerous. Flu is the main cause
    of ME, chronic fatigue syndrome.
I bought a bunch of Tamiflu, that anti-viral drug when they
were on about H5N1 a year or two ago.
    Wish you a speedy recovery.

Lots of hot tea and chicken soup; get better, this flu is EVERYWHERE and nasty.

I, too, own the silver Sebring convertible. I love it. Coulda bought the Corvette. But I didn’t want the middle-age baggage.

I wasn’t expecting the comments I’ve received, either. Kids tell me it’s awesome. I refer to it as my “Barbie” car. This is what Ken would drive if he were middle-aged.

And I think the Oregon coast is a much better place for this car than warmer environs. I’ve only had to put the top up twice, because it was too hot.

Nice toys (still drive a mini van here). Ah well…. Get well soon so you can enjoy.
