Who Would Bomb Recruiters In NY City? Lunatic Liberals Of Course

Published by at 8:48 am under All General Discussions

This news story shows how sick the liberal left is in this country:

An explosive device caused minor damage to an empty military recruiting station in Times Square early Thursday, shaking guests in hotel rooms high above “the crossroads of the world.”

Police blocked off the area to investigate the explosion, which occurred at about 3:45 a.m., shattering the station’s glass entryway. No one was injured.

“If it is something that’s directed toward American troops than it’s something that’s taken very seriously and is pretty unfortunate,” said Army Capt. Charlie Jaquillard, who is the commander of Army recruiting in Manhattan.

If it was al-Qaeda they tend to strive for massive kills – so this is clearly the work of a whack job liberal. While America is protecting these sad sacks from being massacred by terrorists these idiots attack America. And these are loons who support Obama, Clinton, Pelosi and Reid – all of whom treat these lose cannons as serious and credible voices in America?

Everything shut down above and below ground at Times Square…I have a feeling this was a response test to a small attack. It could be, as you said some lunatic liberal…bad feeling on this.

  2. Neo says:

The irony of using a militarious device, a bomb, to attack a military recruiting station is just too much.

These clowns should go in an sign up. They already have all the traits that they say they hate.

  3. Cobalt Shiva says:

We need to start calling the Democrats “Sinn Fein.”

  4. patrick neid says:

This type of act also serves another purpose for the left. When arguing against our struggle with the war on terror they make the fallacious argument that we should deal with our own terrorism first–the Timothy McVeigh’s etc.

  5. joe six-pack says:

I like to use the examples of extreme left as being Stalin and the exteme right as being Hitler. Even though they are opposite regarding ecomonic theory, they are the same tyranny.

  6. WWS says:

Joe six pack, you should pick up “Liberal Fascism” by Jonah Goldberg. Hitler wasn’t “on the right” in any rational sense, his movement was socialist from start to beginning. (hence the name “National Socialist Party” which in German began with the word “Nazional”)

The claim that Hitler was some kind of right-ring tyrant much different than Stalin was only made after WW2 by people in the west who still admired socialist ideas and were horrified by the idea that Hitler had taken all of their ideas to their logical extreme.

  7. Soothsayer says:

This is the scummiest post ever, AJ. Accusing “liberals” of this bombing with absolutely no evidence except your own inherent bias.

Oh please.. who else would do something like this other than a deranged Leftist or a Muslim?

Don’t ask us to act stupid just because you choose to be.

  9. Soothsayer says:

    Who besides “liberals”?

Are you really that stupid. Name one “liberal” besides George McGovern, a decorated and heroic WWII bomber pilot, who ever bombed anything.

Okla City – right wing nut

WTC – right wing Islamic religious fundamentalist nuts

Abortion clinics – right wing Christian findamentalist nuts.

As for Jonah Goldberg and his fantasy of Nazi liberals – the Nazis were by no means socialist – they were a corporatist authoritarian totalitarian fascist regime. Go to an encyclopedia and look up fascism:

Fascism is an authoritarian political ideology (generally tied to a mass movement) that considers the individual subordinate to the interests of the state, party or society as a whole. Fascists seek to forge a type of national unity, usually based on (but not limited to) ethnic, cultural, racial, religious attributes. Various scholars attribute different characteristics to fascism, but the following elements are usually seen as its integral parts: patriotism, nationalism, statism, militarism, totalitarianism, anti-communism, corporatism, populism, collectivism, autocracy and opposition to political and economic liberalism

  10. AJStrata says:

Yeah right Sooth, it was some pro-military right winger!

  11. AJStrata says:

    BTW,

I find Goldberg’s Liberal Fascism claims over the top and ridiculous. I disagree with libs, but so far none seem to be fascists – just delusional.

  12. Soothsayer says:

No, AJ , I’m betting it was someone who was screwed over by the VA system or the Army recruiters – or a realtive of someone who was. Are you saying McVeigh was not right wing??

See Bruce Walker’s analysis for the marxist nature of Natzism.

Sooth, you buy into all the stereotypes of the Left.

Geez… Did you even read the book or listen to Jonah describe his book?

He’s not calling today liberals fascists. So it’s interesting you should find his non-claim to be over the top. Just how did you come to this conclusion?

Your fact template leads you to false generalizations.

AJStrata, I have to ask you this question…

Did you actually read Jonah’s book? Or just listened to the TV interviews?

Jonah’s book describes and defines almost the definition that you provided. He does equate nationalism, statism, militarism, communism, populism, totalitarianism, collectivism, autocracy and opposition to political and economic liberalism.

    An almost perfect match.

Obviously, soothsayer, you have not taken the time to read Jonah’s book.

  17. Cobalt Shiva says:

Are you saying McVeigh was not right wing??

He was very much pro animal rights.

    Didn’t know that, did you?

NY Representatives Received Anti-War Letters Before Times Square Blast
Thu, Mar 6, 2008 at 5:37:57 pm PST

Before the bombing of a recruiting office in Times Square this morning, New York’s Congressional representatives received copies of a letter with photos of the recruiting office and the claim, “Happy New Year, We Did It.”

And a 10-page anti-war rant. Imagine my surprise.

WASHINGTON – Police are investigating letters that arrived Thursday at Capitol Hill offices containing a photo of the Times Square military recruiting office before it was bombed and including the claim “We Did It.”

The manila envelopes contained a photo of a man standing in front of the recruiting station, according to a Democratic aide who spoke on condition of anonymity because the matter is under investigation. The photo was the kind commonly sent as a holiday greeting card.

The message on the card: “Happy New Year, We Did It.”

The envelope also contained a packet of approximately 10 sheets of paper that seemed to be a political manifesto railing against the Iraq war and a booklet. The aide didn’t know what the booklet was.

Postal inspectors were at the Capitol investigating the letters alongside Capitol Police, U.S. Postal Inspection Service spokesman Douglas Bem said. He had no details about the letters’ content. A second law enforcement official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the case is ongoing, confirmed some of their contents as described by the Democratic aide.

The Associated Press obtained a copy of an e-mail from the office of Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., to other lawmakers Thursday that reads:

“A few offices on the House side have received a letter today addressed to ‘Members of Congress’ with a picture of a man standing in front of the Times Square recruiting station that was bombed in New York today with the statement ‘We did it.’ He is standing in front of it with his arms spread out and he’s attached his political manifesto.”

Thanks for the tip, WWS. I will look up “liberal Fascism”.

Politically, you are correct. Both Hitler and Stalin were socialist. I believe that the reason people consider Stalin “Left” and Hitler “Right” is because of economic theory. In Stalin’s Soviet Union, the means of production was owned by the state. In Hitler’s Germany, the means of production was privately owned. The overall point I was attempting to make is that the extremes are a problem. As with so many things in life, moderation is very important.

Politically, you are correct. Hitler and Stalin were both socialists. I believe the reason that people call Stalin “Left” and Hitler “Right” is because of the econmic ownership of the countries they lead. Stalin’s Soviet Union owned the means of production. In Hitler’s Germany, the means of production was privately owned. I bring this up to point out that extremes are a problem. As with so many things in life, moderation is very important.
