The myth of Global Warming is going the way of the flat-earth myth from centuries past. It was a popular but unfounded concept that did not fit the known facts. In fact, what happened is some ‘scientists’ built some models of the climate, and when they ran them they indicated global Armageddon. The only problem was these models where theories which did not fit reality. Most scientists are humble enough to know nature is very possessive of her secrets and only lets them be exposed after a lot of hard work and false starts.

But somehow the Church Of Man-made Global Warming has been extremely blessed with the arrogant, reckless scientists who forget they are human and are as open to making mistakes as the rest of us. Case in point, as the real science continues to show more and more evidence the global warming panic was based on faulty speculation, those who believed so hard in it are having trouble grasping when reality doesn’t fit their theoretical models of reality:

Some 3,000 scientific robots that are plying the ocean have sent home a puzzling message. These diving instruments suggest that the oceans have not warmed up at all over the past four or five years. That could mean global warming has taken a breather. Or it could mean scientists aren’t quite understanding what their robots are telling them.

Or – option 3 – it could mean the Church Of Man-made Global Warming is in denial and cannot accept the robots are telling it their models of reality aren’t particularly realistic.

I can confidently speculate the levels of CO2 being pumped into the atmosphere have not subsided or decreased over the last 10 years – since the last historic ‘hot’ year was recorded in modern times (everything before 1950 is wild speculation). No Kyoto Treaty, no emissions restrictions, continued expansion of oil and gas as India and China see the automobile start to flourish. It is safe to say that during this near decade’s long stall in Global Warming the CO2 levels have continued to rise unabated.

Which is impossible if the Church Of Man-Made Global Warming is to be believed. So what do the apostles of Al Gore do when reality doesn’t follow scripture – they make up excuses:

This is puzzling in part because here on the surface of the Earth, the years since 2003 have been some of the hottest on record. But Josh Willis at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory says the oceans are what really matter when it comes to global warming.

In fact, 80 percent to 90 percent of global warming involves heating up ocean waters. They hold much more heat than the atmosphere can. So Willis has been studying the ocean with a fleet of robotic instruments called the Argo system. The buoys can dive 3,000 feet down and measure ocean temperature. Since the system was fully deployed in 2003, it has recorded no warming of the global oceans.

“There has been a very slight cooling, but not anything really significant,” Willis says. So the buildup of heat on Earth may be on a brief hiatus. “Global warming doesn’t mean every year will be warmer than the last. And it may be that we are in a period of less rapid warming.”

It is only a mystery to those wedded to the man-made global warming canard. To those of us who have noted failure after failure of doom & gloom predictions coming true and have been of the opinion this is one of a million natural cycles this planet has experienced this all makes sense. We are in or passing out of a warm period. The fact the waters are showing a cooling actually supports the theory we are headed for a sever down turn in global temperature due to low than normal solar/sunspot activity.

I feel for all those countries and states throwing their people’s hard earned money into a fraud, a risky scheme (to steel one of Al Gore’s more over used phrases). That money could have gone to their kids educations, to helping the needy, to a much needed vacation. But no, it was thrown away to the wind by people who were charlatans – but I sure made a bit of money of the entire effort.
